He's completely right about the movie being absolute shit. Maddox is hilarous about anything. And his drawings are great.

Edit: Oh, and anyone sending him hate mail about his opinion will be made fun of on his site, and thier e-mail address given to the public for thier own personal enjoyment. So before you e-mail him, don't.

???

He's got a whole section on it, as far as I remember. Maybe that's just the really old stuff. I distinctly remember a section where he made fun of some smacktard and said it took him two hours before he sent mail begging Maddox to take off his adress from his site.

I'll check his site, just to see if I'm going insane.

Edit: Here's the section on hate mail, but it's not been updated in a while.

Great points? It was just an incoherant rant. I'm not even going to bother arguing against him because his points are just so illogical.

Maddox made an excellent point about people who claim to hate Episodes I and II but to like Episode III. What's with these people? Everything that critics found wrong with the first two prequels -the plot that didn't make sense, the discontinuities with the OT, the overuse of CGI, the bad acting- was more or less true with Episode III. I will grant there was more action in ROTS.

I can actually understand someone liking all three prequels, but I can't get my head around the idea that TPM and AOTC sucked but ROTS was somehow a big improvement. I had more fun watching it, but that is because my expecations were so low that I was basically watching it for laughs -and the fact that Lucas camped it up quite a bit helped that.

Time will tell. If you remember, AOTC was received pretty well (at first) and people were like, "Yeah, Star Wars is back!" People who disliked TPM seemed to like AOTC better. Three years later it is regarded (by haters) pretty poorly. I think in ways it's worse than TPM. At least it's far more boring.

Chef's right about this. I liked both prequels the first time I saw them, and subsequent viewings made it so I really didn't like either one. But I've seen ROTS 3 times now, and it has held up after 3 viewings. Basically I've found that after more viewings I like the action scenes more, the love scenes less, and everything else about the same. I just find it really has the most emotional impact of any of the 3, and is the most beautiful, so every time you watch it, as opposed to TPM and AOTC (which only have surface beauty) it draws you in. It has many of the same flaws as the other two, but because the other 2 had no emotional resonance, you could concentrate much more on those flaws while watching the movie subsequent times, while since ROTS does have emotion, the flaws, in my opinion, can be at least somewhat overlooked (in many cases, I forget to even notice them because I'm so engrossed in the movie).

For example, even after 3 viewings and not liking her character through the other 2 prequels, I really felt sad when they showed Padme's funeral. Despite having bad dialogue and being a pointless, flawed character, somehow ROTS makes me feel emotion for her, and that's what I think is different in it than in the other 2.

Time will tell, as I'll see how I like it when I watch it on DVD or TV, but after 3 viewings it has lost almost nothing with me.

His rant is utter crap. His points of the movie are points with no logical back up at all, it's just a rant to be "cool" with the PT haters.
