I think that's the main dilemma behind this whole topic:

If you wait for marriage to have sex, then you can be sure that your partner is as inexperienced as you are, thus less likely to abandon you. But once you don't give a damn about this all, then you're automatically trapped within our success-orientated society, meaning you won't get laid if you can't keep up with the other's abilities and, and... and... you know what, I've got no idea what I'm talking about. Where am I? Who am I? And why is the ceiling painted blue? wacko.gif

Pop quiz, hotshot. Garry Kasparov is coming to kill you, and the only way to change his mind is for you to beat him at chess. What do you do, what do you do?

QUOTE (Spoon Poetic @ Feb 9 2006, 05:14 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
If you love someone enough to marry them, I'd hope that you'd be willing to work together to get "good in bed," and I'd assume that it'd be something special in its own self. (Besides - I'd rather be with someone who wasn't very good in bed, but that I knew would be loyal to me and wasn't a total slut, than to be with someone was excellent in bed, because they "built skills" by sleeping around sooo much before getting to me tongue.gif)

Hmmm... if I had to wait for marriage to have sex with another girl I'd be screwed. Or... I wouldnt be screwed rather. I suppose I have a whole different take on premarital sex, eh?

Hey, I didn't wait. I just see both sides. Even if I did decide to agree with no sex before marriage, it's too late for me! But honestly, I don't find "because you'll be teh suck in bed when you do get married" to be a good reason to not wait until marriage. That's just pretty superficial, to have to have it good enough for you between the sheets before deciding to marry.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

Yeah but you have to admit that good sex is important for a healthy relationship…. right?

Yeah, but for me it's made good not by physical prowess, but emotional intimacy and being comfortable and it being a symbol of love and trust, etc. You need to be in a situation where you can learn from one another without it feeling odd or fearing for hurt feelings.
