Grievous isn't Sith - which is why I put him in a separate sentence. Sorry if that was unclear. Besides - anything that heavily mechanised shouldn't have enough midis (god I hate midis) to lift a pebble.
Mace should have taken Anakin if only because Anakin doesn't poop out in fights as badly as most Jedi. Going along with three knights, not picking up any more knights when he realised Palps was Sith and not taking the guy who needed to be there to see it through and was a handy enough guy in a tight spot to take Dooku (even if you count assistance from Obi-Wan and whatever subtle darkside stuff Palps was pulling)

This is a great point to remember - Here's Obi-Wan making quips about fighting Sith lords when his very own jedi Master Kwai Gone (sorry for spelling) was killed right in front of him by a Sith.
I think he'd be more traumatized.
I don't think he'd ever make a Sith joke again.
