Who, in your opinion, was the worst character in a.) the prequels, and b.) the entire series. In the interests of creativity you may not include Jar Jar Binks.

a.) Otto Rancisis. Rancisis was a feathered, serpentine alien, known as a Thisspiasian that looked like a fucked up budgie. He had mastered malacia. He was 174 years old. He could have been Blood Monarch of Thisspias. He was a stupid character. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly. And where did Lucas get these ridiculous names? Rancisis? Thisspiasian? Blood Monarch of Thisspias?

b.) Jar Jar Binks. Hey, I said YOU may not include Jar Jar Binks. Jar Jar says, "Meesa da worst! Hahaha! Yay Anniee!"

Your turn.

Worst? Anakin Skywalker. What a snivelling little wanker, dumber than a bag of hammers to fall for the lamest of Palpatine's tricks. Master of evil? yeah, right.

Of supporting characters...depends on how minor you get. The two-headed pod race announcer was horrible but he was only in that one sequence.

Nute Gunray is pretty terrible. Poorly animated, vaudeville Chinese accent, and an incompetent villain to boot.

Yeah, what happened to Lucas's ability to coin names? (I guess it started going in ROTJ with names like Salacious Crumb and Sy Snootles.)

Not including Jar Jar?

a)Nute Gunray, for reasons ernesttomlinson stated

b)Those Stormtroppers who ran from the Ewoks. It still pains me to this day to see that scene. The Emperors best men my ass!

Least favorite characters not counting Jar Jar whom I hate above all:

Ewoks

Elan Sleazebaggano (worst name ever in Star Wars)

The alien who sings "Jedi Rocks" in RotJ

The waitress droid in AotC, the two-headed announcer in TPM (both pissing on suspension of disbelief)

With honorable mention to Obi-Wans lizard steed in RotS.

Well, you're forgetting that arrows wouldn't pierce the trooper's hard plastic armor. something like English longbows propably would, but these were dinky small bows. The rocks would stun them, and rocks dropped from trees and gliders might kill some, but bows? No, just no.

Oh, and my characters.

1) Anakin

2) Fuckin Ewoks.

I cannot find the criteria to decide on just one. There are so many to choose from:

Watto.
The Changeling.
Elan Sleazebaggano.
The Diner Waitress Droid.
Young Boba Fett.
The Genoshans.
Dancing Yoda.
Droid Army. "Roger, roger."
Jar Jar

Call me a purist but I will take Ewoks any day of the week and twice on Sunday over any of the above Monstrosities from the PT.

Worst character of the prequels:

Yaddle. The Yoda-looking chick on the Jedi council. Didn't need to see a chick Yoda.

Worst character of all:

ANH bartender of Mos Eisley space-port. Totally unconvincing as a bartender. I could tell he was an actor acting like a bartender.

Honorable mention:

Stormtrooper #24. Totally unconvincing death.

1) Padme. Not only she got the worst name for a female character in these series, but Natalie has not once shown she can rise above the material and portray a sympathetic, living, breathing character. She is just sooo dead! Also, the character is so hypocritically written---whether that's intentional or not--and has the dumbest ideas around her. On the one hand she's all, "I'm all about peace and love and sing kumbaya, lalalalala," and the next, "Let's attack the Trade Federation and capture the Viceroy, then we'd save our planet.... oh yeah, did I mention I know how to use a gun, and even have a couple hidden in the armrest on my throne?" Plus, she's an ELECTED Queen... a fourteen year-old at that! What the hell does she know about planning attacks, ruling a planet, and politics? That is crap!

2) (You mean really can't pick on Jar Jar? Gaw! Altho, he would've been number one)... Jedi in general, I'll have to say. I'm thoroughly disappointed in their presentation.
Flying Ferret

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"

All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

jango fett. WTF? what did he bring to the series? Nothing.
I like Morrisen, but i never needed to see bobbas dad or bobba as a kid...
if, as many claim, the storm troopers are clones of jenga, and so is bobba, why can one by himself, be tough enough to backchat vader, when the others in their numbers couldn't kill a few fucking teddybears.

Bobba fett (before or after ESB) cool character who shows up out of nowhere, we loved him. if it had just been that, it would have been great... all of a sudden this "bounty hunter" is suddenly a henchman in ROTJ. bount hunters are mercinary hunter/assasins to operate independantly for one-time contracts. They are not body guards. They do not hand out in public with well known gangstas as it would ruin their career when you think about it!!!

E.T - E fucking T!!! Why didn't they just fucking put howard the goddamned duck in there too!!!! honestly WTF!!!

General GRevious - he showed up already injured, just so someone could kill him. well lah-di-da... how fun. the dude carries four lightsabres, but the money that went into the extra two arms would have been better spent on some sort of METAL casing around your heart. ah, well... live and learn.

C3P0 (before a new hope) - if they were going to have him...
assembled by anikan, and owned by owen, and involved in everything and seen by all, just to have his memory erased... why have him there at all clutering up the story with a long line of coincidences that everyone would just forget somehow...

baby greedo - the worst shot in the galaxy as a child. cheers...
we really needed that... thanks again. it wasn't bad enough seeing bobba fett and darth vader as annyoing children, we had to have greedo picking on baby anikan before his big go cart race!!!

the entire planet of Naboo - Why couldn't the emporer be from corescant? so anikans creator, wife, son's robot R2D2, all came from this planet that never gets mentioned ever again. plus it had a cool liquid centre thriving with fish and underwater shortcuts...

Baron Papanoida - i have no real reason, there's just something familiar about that guy... i can't put my finger on it...

The Emperor.

The cackling scene-chewing over-the-top "I'm so EEEEEEEEEVIL" emperor.

Good God. Worst. Villain. EVER.

Every complaint I have made before SITH about this character, please now feel free to read them and assume that they are now multiplied to at least one power of 10.

While the portrayal of the Emperor may have been over the top, the character seems to have been enjoying himself immensely, the first time we've seen anyone doing this in any of the prequels. Given the dreariness of the rest of the movie, the cackling Emperor is probably the only reason to watch The Revenge of the Sith.
