I hate you

Simple put, it was well place. It wasn't over the top and worked quite well. I was dreading hearing those words from Anakin, as I thought it would've been overacted and cheesy sounded, but it really suited the moment.

Favourite line award goes to Yoda (as almost always in my opinion):
"If so powerful you are, why do you run away?". As has been noted in other topics, faulty grammar Yoda-style is somewhat faulty in the PT, so I'm not sure that this is the exact quote though.

Otherwise, Padme had her only really good line in the entire PT in ROTS: "So, this is how democray dies - with thunderous applause."

Yoda did indeed do a less than worthy exit after the pod-tossing contest, but in the very beginning of the scene between Palpy & Yoda the Emperor actually tries to flee.

Hear hear.
Christopher Lee is an actor's actor, great voice and physical presence, was Dracula and Saruman.

He should have been Emperor Palpatine in the original trilogy, but was passed over for some reason - probably because they wanted a more unnatural look than Lee could offer.

Best lines?

Anakin to Palpy: "You had me at hello . . . "

Anakin to Padme: "You make me want to be a better man."

John Kerry to Obi-won: "Reporting . . . for . . . duty."

Apollo to Rocky: "Eye of the tiger. Eye of the tiger!"

Vader to Palpy: "You - complete - me."

Lucas: "Show me the money!"

Audiences across the world: "The horror . . . the horror . . ."

I thougth that Anikin's 'I hate you!' line was delivered brilliantly, for the same reasons as Michale Orla. This really made me want to cheer and cry for Anikin at the same time.

"That sucked!"

Oh, wait, that was the guy in front of me. Or was it the kid behind me? Maybe the girl next to me.
Anyway that line is credited to many, many extras...

"Are you threatening me Master Jedi?" McDiarmid delivers every line perfectly.

I have to agree with my psychopathic droid friend. "Are you threatening me Master Jedi," was one of the better lines in the movie.

QUOTE (barend @ May 25 2005, 09:18 PM)
that accent sounded more nigerian to me...

(cool name and av. BTW)

but anyway...
i liked the way anikan defended R2D2 to obiwan...
i know that's totally sissy of me... but for some reason it reminded me of the OT... just the sort sentimentality of it... hard to say..
it was just something i liked.

however the lines that got the biggest reaction out of me were...
>"I'm beautiful because i'm so in love." - Padme (down there)

>"cough hack" -General Grevious [confusing anyone who doesn't watch cartoons]

>"excuse me" -Jar Jar "what happened to ex-squeeze me" Binx
(or did you mean "sorry" ?)

Why did he have that hack?
