You guys won't believe this.

Since getting my new computer, I've been playing all the games that I stockpiled since my old computer broke. I went to buy a new one two days ago, just because I wanted one.

Half-Life 2 includes:

Half-Life 2
Counter Strike: Source

Price: 55 dollars American

Half-Life 2, Collectors Edition includes:

Half-Life 2
Counter Strike: Source
Half-Life: Source
Men's XL t-shirt
Little book thing

Price: 30 dollars American!

Man, is that a deal or what? Unfortunately, since my new computer isn't hooked up to the internet, I can't play any of it yet. Damn you, Steam!

You hate Steam now, but... I think Steam was an amazing idea. No one can steal their game! No one!!! Just wait until you get that PC online. biggrin.gif HL2 is well worth the wait!!

...such a good game...

My friend is having problems with something similar. He got Cossacks 2 recently, which installs a some third person software which registers his copy on his computer when he installs it. When he unistalls it, it contacts the makers and tells them that it's unistalled so it can now be installed on another computer. The problem is, his computer recently died and he had to reformat. He didn't unistall the game, so the third party thing won't let him reinstall it. Looks like he's going to have to ring the Ukraine to get it fixed up.

That sucks. But no one commented on my amazing deal! I can't believe they were selling it for 30 bucks. It's normally something like 90.

I'll comment on your amazing deal!

That's really lucky, only getting it for 30 when it normally goes for 90. What's in the little book thing? Concept art? *drools*

Yeah, some of that. It's kinda boring for me, seeing as I haven't played either HL or HL2, but then again, that's why I bought the special edition.

Really!? In the instruction manual for the first HL there was a lot of monster drawings, etc. in the pages (used as backgrounds for the text etc.) and I thought those were really cool. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww...

Hurry up and play it. biggrin.gif

If you are really hard up to play the game just go to juno.com and get the crappy 10 hour per month service, that’ll get you through all the patches and stuff.

IP isn't the problem, it's hooking the comp up to the net. We have broadband, and there's no cable in the back room to connect the comp to. The attic's too small to crawl into to put the wire there, so we have to go wireless. Plus there's other projects cluttering up my dad's time, such as my bathroom (slight leakage turned into bathroom renovation. Go figure) and the screen porch (none of us use the damn thing, so why do we need it?). Overall, this points to me not being able to play it for several months. sad.gif

Damn, that sucks. We built our house, so network cables to any rooms possibly having computers was a priority. It always amuses people when they ask where our hub is, and I tell them it's in the pantry.

Ok, I can't believe that I was this stupid. My dad seggusted that we just move the computer out to where our connection is. Why didn't I think of that? pinch.gif It works now. Will play in five minutes. Don't expect to see me much. At least for a day or two.

HL1 was kickass, HL2 was fuking amazing, although the guns weren't as effective. Damned altered assault rifle and lower ammo count on everything...

You also get Day of Defeat Source when it comes out, I think. Lucky bastard...
