Back on topic.  Don't we all see the contradiction in the scene??  We are supposed to feel some type of twisted remorse that Anakin is slaughtering innocents....  Well they aren't very innocent after beating on Shmi.  Whatever they did to her, it ultimately led to her enjoyable death (for me) biggrin.gif  I would think that Anakin did the right thing in killing the sandpeople.  George Lucas only portrays them as uncaring thieves whos intentions are always malignant.  This is not a "first step toward the dark side" in my opinion.

Well, sure, but if someone's capable of wiping out a village down to the last Tusken toddler, should we really be surprised when that person wipes out a passel o' Jedi down to the last "youngling" moppet? Plus, aren't the Jedi supposed to be the holier-than-thou "all species have value" types?

Meh, I saw ROTS. I know the answers to the above.

Should have used a comma there, Despondent.
Unless that's what you REALLY meant?

yeah, well. At least you spelled my name right. smile.gif

Does anyone think QG uses his post-death powers to look up S. Skywalker in the afterlife?
Are Dead Jedi forbidden to love?
And I'm sure Shmi'd like to meet her grandchildren in rotj.

I agree with the theory that Shmi died of shock after seeing what a gangly pervert he grew up to be.
