If anyone cares...

My problem with the way Vader delivered his 'Nooooo' was that he delivered in his 'whiney' voice...REALLY WHINEY

I wanted real ANGER - ANGER AND DESPAIR

that's why it was laughable, also the Frankenstien walk which I perfectly undertand, BUT I'd would rahter him fall to his knees and SCREAM NOOOOO not whine it....

I think that they should have just clipped the funny noise he makes in ROTJ when he gets his hand lopped off and replayed it there, instead of No!

Another moment to be added to the above two or three is the agonising baby naming sequence. Obi-wan acting as a midwife and that droid lurking at the other side of the bed looking exactly like something out of the Jestons. The droids could not look more cheesy. It was good, though, that Natalie Portman could not see this droid, she would have dies of sheer embarasment for the art department.

Another thing that set my teeth on edge was Obi-wan doing an Indiana Jones with this Grievous Coughing Droid. And imagine that Lucas hated this scene in Indiana Jones!

And wasn't it enough to rip off Dune in OT by adding the skeletons of sandworm? Did he have to add the flying machines too (can't remember the orifinal name).

Obi-wan uttering lines like "Oh dear" and "Totally uncivilised" and "Hello there" "Oh, it's you"

Buzz droids (I noticed in subtitles that some idiot guy translated it literally into Polish, which made it hilarious - the result was something that might be translated back into English as "bugger-droids")
I'll come back with more, I think...

I agree that the medical droids looked silly, but if you really think about it, they were probably designed to be soft and friendly. Imagine the first site as you come into the world being EV-9D9.

right on, madam...  couldn't say it any better myself...  i would've turned and force-kicked the emporer in the ballsack.

i mean - he blames obi-wan for everything with absolutely no reason...  but he doesn't conclude that it was the emperor who was indirectly responsible for padme's death???

stupid.

Great points. In Lucas's foolish attempt to pay homage to 1930 horror movies he forgot one key point. Vader doesnt confront the Emperor. He told Anakin turning to the darkside would save Padme. Yet she dies.

Instead of having Vader's cheesy "nooooooooooo", he should've had Vader forcechoke the Emperor "You LIED to me", before the Emperor overpowers him and calms him down.

"I'm a guy that loves the Star Wars universe and refuses to accept George Lucas' version of the events that took place. Simply put... he got it wrong. I have to tell myself this because its the only way I can sleep at night. He just got it wrong."

Is this how you feel?

I took it as Ani going over to the darkside of his own free will, based on the idea that if he gets powerful enough in the dark side, he'll be able to save Padme (and ultimately overthrow Sidious himself). however, he thinks that he killed her, so the only person he blames at the end is himself.

So do you think Palp lords it over Vader at barbques and at thanksgiving? Rigs the world series so Vader's team always loses? that would get old.

ESB crawl says Vader is searching for Luke. This before Palp tells him of Luke.
Vader succeeds on his own, why doesn't he go postal on Palp? He's holding him back!!

Vader should have fallen to his knees, prostrate.
Then, slamming alternating arms to the floor he's kicking and emoting "No, No, No, NO, NO! NO! NO!"
Camera on crane pulls away to reveal Yoda on Dagobah. Getting to know his snake.

Worst Moment...
General Grievous: You fool! I was trained in your Jedi art by Count Dooku!

Noooooooooooooooooooo! wasn't far behind... and most of the Anakin & Padme since were highly winceable.

But he was still promised she wouldn't die, so some sort of angry words towards the Emperor would've gone better with Vaders character IMHO. Remember the base root of going to the darkside is selffishness, and I think the first reaction Vader would have would be to blame everyone but himself. Perhaps when he calms down he realizes he killed her (or so he's told by the Emperor) and starts to hate himself. And that hatred for himself is what fuel Vaders dark rage. This is simple my interperation of what I wanted blushing.gif

Vader was love sick for Palpatine.

What else could it be? OK, he loved the power because of all the good it had done for him. Wait- dark side, bad. It did bad for him. Makes perfect sense.

how about:

"You're Wrong.
I didn't kill her! YOU killed her."

force choke.

Entirely new episode four. Tarkin's role is now Kitster.
Han's place rightfully taken by our gungan friend.
