I've heard of it. George Lucas himself has heard of it. I will watch it when I get a faster connection with my internet, and another motherboard, which will probably be in another few weeks.

I did the lightsaber choreography for the movie, and I play one of the evil Jedi -- the one with the pink lightsaber.

It would be an honor to have Chef take a crack at Revelations, but it's a fan film, and is it really worth all the effort?

It's got great special effects, the story is... a story, which is unusual for a fan film, as hard as that is to believe. People have praised the movie for its production qualities and the hard work of the people. As many people have bitched and nit picked it to death all pissed off that it's gotten 2 million downloads in the past month. There's also been a lot of press about it (NBC, Anderson Cooper, CBS, USA Today, et. al) A lot of people have poo pooed my choreography, but, hey, it comes with the turf. I think it's pretty good, but it's up for other people to decide what they like, just as we do for all of GL's saga.

I just found out today that a few people who don't like the movie (for whatever reason) have been vandalizing the mirror sites. Such a shame that they can't appreciate all the hard work everyone put into it. No one got paid, and it was a project bourne out of our love for SW.

a friend of mine mentioned it to me when the read something about it in the news, and i was like "i know the coriographer!!!"

but when i found out it was available for down laod i was going to resurect the thread you first mentioned it in... but i was waiting until i had seen the film... i tried to down load it but only got the first 9 minutes (i think), just as i was getting into it too...

here's what i think so far, but i can't say much until i successfully retreive the whole thing... i think it's pretty impressive for an independant short film... the CGI is quite impressive (it's not ILM, but it's better than Star Trek), the only thing i really had a problem with is the imperial pilots getting to their ships... the jogging looks like their jogging on the spot, which kills that sequence... but you can let it go...
i look forward to seeing some actual njam action...

I enjoyed the film. I certainly won't be reviewing it. I have nothing but respect for everyone involved with the project. To coordinate and follow through on a project of that magnitude is an amazing thing when no one got any money from it.

I will reserve my criticism for official Star Wars books, games, movies, etc. as they should be more open to criticism and are often of lower quality than works such as Revelations.

For what it's worth I think Nick did an excellent job on the choreography. The main reason I downloaded the movie was to see his work and it was well worth it. I really wanted to see him in action as I am a big fan of his after reading his book and coresponding with him for a number of years. smile.gif

I would have downloaded it if it were nothing more than a DVD of Nick practicing. wink.gif

The special effects were amazingly well done. They looked to be at the level of a decent SF TV show such as Star Trek or something along those lines. That's saying a LOT considering how they created the various elements.

The Special Features DVD is really interesting as well as it shows some of the techniques used and also features brief comments by Nick on the sword choreography.

I dunno. I enjoyed it. I think it's at a point where you have to overlook the flaws based on what it is. There were plenty of cool ideas and excellent visuals. smile.gif

"-I certainly won't be reviewing it. I have nothing but respect for everyone involved with the project.-"

Uh... what you just posted WAS a review.

I wasn't saying you had to trash it. Just figured for all the reviews you've done that you'd take a crack at this film.

I also think it's very impressive what they managed to do.

Same for that short Batman film -which I think mostly sucked but still... the dude made a Batman film and I didn't right?

It might be funny for you to put up a 'Reasons I Hate...' link for this film and when you click on the link there are no reasons.

Just you saying that it's cool and another link where people can download it.

I was just so surprised that I couldn't find it mentioned on this SW site at all!

The pink lightsabers are gay though. Sorry... but that's not an opinion, it's a fact of life. Bad enough lucas let S.L. Jackson have a purple one. hehe

hehe... I was just kiddin' about the gay saber crack. I didn't think it was meant to actually look pink and be a gay inside joke.
I just saw stills from the film. My buddy's DL'ing it and gonna send it to me.

I don't have anything against gay Earth people.

Gay evil Jedi with pink lightsabers? Can't wait to see it.

Figured there'd be more people talking about the film here. Oh well...
