As for being a Star Wars fan?  As far as I'm concerned, Star Wars is limited to only 2 movies, ANH and Empire - the other four flicks are nothing but bad memories. They just do not exist, as far as I'm concerned.

Does this mean you don't accept the events that took place in ROTJ as well, or just don't like their representation of the screen?

Veers- same here. I mean just stopping when Anakin becomes Vader leaves out a whole lot and keeps you from letting Leia get to know Amidala.

I just refuse to accept the shoddy way by which Lucas tied up previous events in Jedi.

Did people laugh in the threatre when he said "nooooooooooooooooooooo"?

Well, some gasped in disbelief, some laughed whilst others had no reaction, whatsoever.

That doesn't even make any sense... how can you refuse to accept Lucas "way" of tieing up lose ends when its his movie and his story. You guys have like bigger egos then he does, acting as if the role of Lucas is to make movies that you will accept. Besides he basically had the ideas in mind for ROTJ when writing ESB too, its not like they were mutually exclusive.

then one day you'll wake up and realize that jar jar is annoying, the romance of AOTC does not live up to John William's theme "Across the Stars" and that Dark Vader said "nooooo."

hmm...well I realise all those things, and I still love them (the films I mean, not those particular things you mentioned. Although I didnt see a problem with Vaders yell) Mentioning 'Across the Stars', I watched it again the other day and its odd how that song kind of bolsters the relationship in a way that the actors and the script was unable to do.

Lucas wanted to show the entire life of Vader, from 'birth' to death. I like Vwings idea, and its one that im sure a lot of people would have had. would it have been better though? I guess we'll never know.

I wouldn't expect it to make any sense to the average mindless gusher who blindly accepts whatever nonsense Baron Crapanoida chooses to feed him or her. smile.gif

It may be his story and he has got all the rights, in the world, to go wherever he pleases with it BUT once he released it and decided to share it with the world, there were going to be varying opinions on it - this is a free world and people are allowed to have individual opinions on the merits or demerits of any story.

Not all individuals are going to have the same opinions and not all are going to love all the movies and not all are going to blindly accept his tale blindly without putting it to scrutiny.

As far as I'm concerned, only the first two movies released (ANH and ESB) are worthy of the moniker "Star Wars". In my opinion, the other four movies making up the saga are, crap and are, therefore, not worthy of the "Star Wars" name.

Do you still classify yourself as a Star Wars fan? because ep 6, 1 2 and 3 are SW now, like it or not.

Yes, I would call myself an SW fan as I see the Star Wars saga:

According to Baron Crapanoida they are. According to a mindless gusher like you, they are, but according to me they certainly are not.

Yes, an incomplete one. biggrin.gif

Well, I certainly find it blissful - expecially since it concerns Baron Crapanoida and his four most recent droppings (that he is trying to pass off for "Star Wars" movies).

Everyone`s point is just as valid!

I have noticed recently that validity of people´s points is inversely proportional to number of posts per day, and number of emoticons used in the posts.

As is the validity of the posts to the topic concerned. For example, see the quote (and post) above. biggrin.gif
