I'd say everyone here for seeing the movie again and again despite thinking its shit. yada yada yada, wawawa stop WHINING jeezus christ. I don't like Lord of the Rings, so guess what? I DIDNT GO AND SEE THEM ALL. Lucas keeps stealing your money as you losers go to his movies with already negative mindsets. Nothing would make you guys like these movies, even if it had marlon brandaesq acting and a script perfected to the bone.

I didn't like the previous two prequels but this one was good nuff for the star wars series, if you don't think so you were just expecting too much from something that wasn't going to be better in the first place. People who liked the old trilogy but didn't like this episode are just fans of good movies, and not fans of the star wars film (which is ofcourse acceptable but besides the point since you are ON a star wars forum). Luckily for Lucas, you suckers still went and saw it, making him millions of dollars off people who were too moronic to determine what kind of movies they liked, and bought in (even more so then lunatic fans) on watching it based on title. People who saw this movie thinking/knowning it be shit and loathing the first two prequels are stupider than people who enjoyed them and expected it to be good; atleast they went in for entertainment, you guys simply went to a movie you knew you wouldn't liked based on its title and name. You truly are suckers.

Even chef, who makes good points in his criticism (though tis quiet easy to nitpick ANY movie including the old trilogies or even classics like godfather) is a case in point on how smart Lucas is, and how stupid the population is. Lucas for all his garbage writing has made millions on his ideas, suckering in people to see the movie countless times.

I congradulate Lucas, for creating an amazing OT. Even more amazing was following it by making two awful prequels to one good one that successfully entertained some, and successfully robbed other wanna be intellectuals.

Thanks, have a good day. yell.gif

The only thing you have to bitch about, is getting outsmarted by Lucas's marketing campaign and being sucked into yet another movie that you knew you wouldn't like. So in that sense you do have something to bitch about, your own inevitable stupidity.

Some of us didn't pay to see it.
This, however, is irrelelvant. When something this monumentally horrid is going on down the street, one must at least take a look.

Lucas making money does not bother some of us. It doesn't bother me...hell for a while he paid my salary so it was essential we/you all went to the films. What is most important is that these films should have been another series of classics like the OT and they are far from it. I don't want to get off on a super long rant here so I end it like this:

There is no need to attack the forum and its members based on your perception. We are not stupid. Lucas' marketing has not tricked us. We are fans of an immortal classic and owe it to that legacy to see its integrity not tarnished by these new stains on cinematic toilet paper. If, by no other means, than to communicate our frustrations.

So let us not sling these harsh judgements and accusations on personal levels. If you have a constructive point to make, please do.

I will show you how by example: "Fuck off."

Lucas making money does not bother some of us.  It doesn't bother me...hell for a while he paid my salary so it was essential we/you all went to the films.  What is most important is that these films should have been another series of classics like the OT and they are far from it.  I don't want to get off on a super long rant here so I end it like this:

Well the funny part is some of the people here also criticize Return of the Jedi too as being shitty (not all of you but a minority of you). So the "classics" you guys cling to is in actuality two movies, New Hope and Empire Strikes Back (in Chef's case, I don't even think he particularly thought New Hope was "great").

But anyway, the point is not your right to not like the prequels, the point is you keep whining about how the movie is shit (and went in thinking/knowing it be shit) yet still paid to see it. I disliked the first Lord of the Rings, so guess what, I didn't see the other two. I didn't go watch them, then whine about how much i disliked them, i quietly stepped aside and didn't watch the rest of them.

You do have a right to say how much you are dissapointed in the movies, but you have no right to say that Lucas "ruined" the movies, when he can do whatever he wants with his own creation. Whether you like it or not, its his art, his product, and for you to sit here and say he has "ruined YOUR classics" is bullshit elitism in thinking you guys control other people works. The only real Lucas screw job you can perhaps be pissed about, is the fact that he didn't release the original pictures on dvd, and screwed you over with the special editions.

As I have always said: The only redeemable factor in these PT movies is the fact that they make ROTJ look better and better. Thank you PT.

P.S.--Many of your points are extremely old and need refinment. At least try and put a new spin on them like: "You guys should get girlfriends and stop complaining."

Not really... that girlfriend/get a life shit is useless. I'm just making valid points (which btw nobody here has refuted yet). As for your ROTJ comment, it only reaffirms my point that most of you only liked two of the original as well. What the hell are you all "Crazed" about when you've liked basically one star wars movie in your entire lives.

If you can't understand my original post then this is a pointless conversation.
