OK, so stay with me here.

In the Star Wars universe we can assume that there are News reporting of some sort, and if they are anything like us there are gossip papers about celebrities.

Jedi would be celebrities wouldn't they?

Senators would also kind of be celebrities...right?

So know when notices that a Jedi keeps sneaks over to a Senators apartment EVERY night it seems.

Wouldn't that be BIG NEWS AND HEADLINES on the cover of the of the Republic Enquirer??????

How did this relationship stay a secret? I mean I always assumed the Jedi 'ignored' there relationship kind of don't ask, don't tell deal. But that's me just making excuses for the fact they are Jedi and CAN SENSE AND TELL PEOPLES EMOTIONS and even there deathes millions of miles away!!!

But back to me original point.....if some sort of equilvilent situation happned in America or anywhere it would be HUGE NEWS that couldn't be hid from people.

One think to note is that the Galactic Holonet did report on the assasination of Senator Amidala. In fact, I think it's one of the current top headlines.

www.holonetnews.com

They have a lot of articles on it, and also the Jedi and Seperatist movements, so it appears that the galaxy far, far away does indeed have media coverage.

Hmm, I have seen no media in those movies, so I don`t believe there must be...

It is fantasy, not science-fiction!

Work with me damnit!

Every society has some sort of news reporting

How would the outer rim know that the supreme chancellor declared himself emperor? How would they find out about the Jedi's betrayal...

Plus I'm having some fun...

Read the novelization of Revenge of the Sith. They go into the fame and media in great detail.

Chef, would you say the novelization was better than the movie?

Um, I dunno. I just read the first 60 pages or so on the suway and in the theatre before the movie started. It's not that well written in my opinion but, much like the AOTC novelization, it seems like the author took great pains to fix a lot of the dialogue problems while keeping the main "plot" intact.
