I’ve been reading posts on this forum for a good long time now and have finally worked up the courage to attempt an intelligent post. It’s not that I haven’t wanted to rag on the PT, its just that you guys have been doing such a splendid job and I didn't want to disrupt the flow. So here goes…

I watched ROTS last night and I expected to be heart broken once again, but to my amazement, I was not. This movie is soooooooooooooo much better than the first two. I found myself struggling minimally through the Ani-Padme love scenes, and I only cringed at the CGI droids and creatures about three or four times.

I have three grivences however, but they are forgivable IMO considering the overall improvement of this film from the last two.

1. Grevious was cool for about .7 seconds – until he started speaking – thank the gods he only polluted the movie for a fraction of the time.

2. The Kasshyk/Wookiee thing was a cheap shot and a GL does deserve a good slap in the mouth for putting it in the film.

3. I was totally buying into the realism of the final scenes… right until …."NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.” I would have recommended a good cheese for Anakin’s whine, but this disturbing line did it for me.

Just a few thoughts from your average passerby. thumbsup.gif

Remember it wasn`t OT Vader, it was a terrified boy who has just had his whole life ruined!

no poblem with that - i just found myself being pulled out of the moment because it seemed like a stereotypical "NOOOOOOOO" scene - like the three identical scenes from Blade Trinity. And every other movie where someone yells "NOOOOOOO" for some such reason.

And didn`t you think Anakin and Padme had some good scenes?!

Especially the silent one...

From what I read in the script, the love scenes are a little better than in AOTC. Lucas did a better job this time around.

I must admit, this fillm makes me see AOTC as not such a good film it could be!

But TPM is still really good, if you accept it as a movie oriented towards children!

I liked the scene where a silent Jar Jar follows Padme’s funeral procession. I actually got a little teary-eyed. Everybody just looked so sad, and they didn’t clutter it up with poorly conceived dialogue. sad.gif

What pisses me off is – why didn’t GL just make all three PG-13 and tragic. If you ask me (which I know you didn’t) they don’t say the f#ck work nearly enough. Or at all for that matter.

Yeah, thats what we need. Obi-Wan using the 'f' word to cuss Anakin out in AOTC.

Very funny, Barend. It would make an excellent parody.

BTW, has anyone seen the "Revenge of the Brick" short video at lego.com? Yes, I'm too old to be caring about legos, but it's actually really funny. They use Grievous as a tv antenna.
