The first bootlegged movie I got, was LOTR Fellowship of the Ring, about 4 1/2 years ago.

why would you download it?

if you don't see these films on a big screen what's the point?

seriously, what's the rush (says captain midnight screening)..

it is out at the cinemas, so go see it in superior sound and vision...

downloading it between the cinema and DVD release is a little more understandable.. but that's just a waste...

Bender, they do it, because they can, and they know they will probably get away with it. That's all the reasoning there is to it.

there are lots of valid reasons for not seeing it at the cinema :-

1) if you are partially deaf then Georgie's films tend to be a bit naff when it comes to dialogue, sure lots of big bangs and whistles, but you aint got a clue what is going on cos you can't understand what they are saying (mind you same could be said even if you can understand the dialogue), with your own copy you can rewind it to catch what they say or listen to it with headphones.

2) The seats in the cinema are not designed for comfort, just pure torture, after an hour I just want the movie to end cos I am in extreme pain and by the end of the film I need a stretcher to take me to hospital.

3) No smoking, I like a good smoke whilst I am relaxing, trust me after 3 hours without a smoke I aint relaxed.

4) You can turn the thing off if it is s**t

5) I live 30 miles away from the nearest cinema complex, cannot drive so have to use public transport, which is like 1 bus a day.

6) you get quite a lot of pleausre deleting it biggrin.gif

Naturally all this could be solved if they released the dvd version of it at the same time, so people have a choice in whether they watch it at home or in the cinema. Naturally that will never happen whilst they have the ability to FORCE people into the cinema.

hmm... all good points.

i guess, when you live a 5 minute walk from the nearest cinema that had the best air con, cosy seats with drink holders, beer wine and spirits, and a good group of genrally cynical movie goers living locally who laugh at the same things as you, you have an altered perspective, and forget that everyone else is roughing it...

hmmm...

i've got it pretty bloody good...

i should complain less....
