By reading the script, and looking at some of the reviews, I have drawn conclusions that it was a very strong buildup, not a weak one. Not only is it strong, but it is also believable. We can all relate to Anakin's fall. We have to make choices, everyday, that contradict what we usually stand for. This is the case with Anakin... except he wasn't able to turn from the choice he made. It was too late. So he had to wing it. Go with the flow. Some choices you make, you can't get out of. The buildup was strong, because we could RELATE. You can too, lebowski.

Talk to me after you've seen what is shown on celluloid (or pixels).

And he seems to have turned from his choice after 20 odd years without a problem in ROTJ. So he could have done it in ROTS too.

Except for the fact that the reasoning is WEAK and not as impactful as it should have been. Why argue this point? The build-up and rationale is not powerfully motivated.

And no...I can't realate to what is displayed in that film. If you can, then you too, might be a Dufus.

I like this game.
"You might be a Dufus Jedi if..." kind of thing.

"If you find yourself choosing the Darkside because you had a bad dream...you might be a Dufus Jedi."

Lebowski, this is not fact, only your opinion!

And you are confusing dreams with vision of the future!

He had a similar vision and his mother died!

And Yoda told him he should let her go...

Only a dufus would ask that.

Let's not get too sensative, folks. And YES... It is my opinion. I am merely stating it. Have you not ever seen my signature under my posts?

Yoda also says prediciting the future is difficult to do. So why would Annie believe there is not changing it? Besides, isn't going to the Darkside a BIG deal to a Jedi? Especially one who was supposed to bring balance to the Force?

I would have liked it PERSONALLY if Annie were super arrogant and headstrong and thought he could outsmart Palpatine by learning more of the Darkside to eventually defeat him. Know your enemy best kind of tactic. And at this point have some kind of peril that pushes him over the edge and into the Darkside.

Y'know...something interesting. Not just a bad F-ing dream. What a dufus.

But Lebowski, Anakin was very arrogant, he wanted to kill Palpatine just after his turn!

He craved power as much as he desired Padme, and later it was more important!

And he agreed with Palpatine that migth makes right!

You see, there were other reasons!

And sorry for overeacting, but this Dofus word annoyed me, I am not in good mood today( having exam tomorrow and not being well prepared, because I am thinking about Star Wars too much!)

What is Dofus anyway?!

It's funny..I looked up Dufus in an on-line dictionary and it said "See Annie Skywalker"

Lucas should make a movie about Hitler's youth too. And then he can show us how cute he was as a kid and justify all the murder(read genocide) later on his life. He'd be good at that. Afterall, wasting an entire planet with your super cool Death Star isn't a big deal when it comes to redemption. Or wasting kids.

What a neat-o moral!

No... not as impactful as it COULD have been. When you bring the word 'should' in, you are going only from your personal opinion, and not directly from proof of what is in the movie.... you are backing up claims with your own opinion. We are all guilty of this, and sometimes it gets the best of us.

We can tell by this fact, that when Anakin turned to the darkside, he was indeed grasping all that came along with being Sith: the fight to become the Sith Lord, and the fight to gain power over the one you serve.

Can we use this simple fact to go even further, to conclude that Anakin's turn was not only strong, but believable? If the turn wasn't strong, he WOULDN'T have wanted to kill Palpatine!

I mean it SHOULD have been impactful. Not to Star Wars fans but to an average movie fan. Someone who doesn't know shit about these films. This average movie goer should be able to watch this film and know why Annie did what he did and feel bad for him. I feel this is not how the film went down.

If you don't know anything about the films, then you probably wouldn't enjoy this movie, even if the fall was impactful. It can't explain EVERYTHING.

Current count of no-starwars fans I have spoken that have seen this film: 14
(By nostarwars fans I mean thosr people who aren't persistent viewrs of the films and watch the prequels as mere enjoyment on a Friday night and forget about it on Saturday. A movie should be able to move someone who didn't read the novel and watch an animated series for backstory.

They thought his motive to turn was premature and unmotivated.

Is 14 a big number? No. Don't bother re-posting that it is not a comprehensive figure to derive my opinions on. True enough. But they ar emy opinions and that tally needs to be ONE. Me.
