How did they manage to get Chewbacca's "look" wrong?

He is different looking than he used to be. Different. Again, he is like 800 years old in the OT. Why would 20 years prior to that be anything significant to him?

HE looks different!!!!

Damn them. Damn them all to hell.

Wasn't Yoda 800 years old in the OT? I am unsure as to approximately how long a Wookie lives, although I doubt it is 800 years old.

I think Chewie was more like 200 years old in the OT. But point taken. Yoda aged to a ludicrous degree in those 20 years as well.

Yet another problem with these prequels. Technology gets worse with the passage of time, beings age faster. It's all topsy-turvy! Bizarro World!

Okay, okay, okay!

Chewie was still wet behind the years at that time. 20 years of action afterwards made him gruffer and more dirty-looking. Action can make you age faster than you normally would.

It's a saving grace. Since he looks different he's therefore not the Chewie from the OT (yaa!!!). He's some other Chewie. Maybe Chewie is a really common wookie name.

I still gotto insult Lucas for trying though. Thanks be that in this case his 2 incompetencies (story telling and CGI) cancelled each other out.

For God sake!!! stop creating these useless threads!!! Chewbacca does not look different, Chewbacca is Chewbacca, theres still 20 years since a New Hope, so maybe he looks a little different, maybe a had a haircut, or slimmed down.

I understand critising major flaws with prequal films, but this is just stupid!!!!
Give em a chance!!!!! this is the film we've been waiting for!!!

And no im not a prequal gusher, I hate the first 2 prequals.

Actually it's quite hard making a CGI look like a 1970's muppet... sleep.gif
