Tetris is king. Name one game released in the past 2 years that you will still be playing 20 years from now.

Hey, I think it's sweet to own old consoles. I have my NES hooked up next to my GameCube, I just swap out the cords when I'm feeling retro. I wish Nintendo had backward compatability, or would take their stupid copyright suits away from emulating their old systems so that we could play our old games in peace without fear of freezing or part failure.

Did you know that Nintendo is actually the entire reason console emulation is illegal?

Since slade's not here.

Nintendo Patenting.

Anyhows, all 3 new consoles have been revealed, and I think it's safe to say that the design departments have clearly gone a bit mad. That PS3 is just too damn ugly for words.......

EDIT: And what the fuck have they done with the joypad?

I don't know. lol. The PS3's controller looks like a boomerang! I guess if you get angry at a game and end up throwing your controller, it'll come spinning back to you...lol.

But you have to admit, the graphics for the next gen. consoles are... astounding. ohmy.gif

Can't deny that, and although I'm sure that they'll be used by the people at tecmo to enhance Katsumi's bosum even further, I still doubt it'll bring much to the gaming community asside from increasing development costs. sad.gif

I wouldn't be surprised if I was still playing Baldurs Gate 2. But hell, given any choice, I wouldn't play tetris at all, so why the hell would I still be playing it for 20 years? Sure, some people do, but personally I can't see why it's still popular. Granted, it's a step up from Pong, but not much else.

I can see myself playing baldurs gate as well Sime =). As far as this console crap goes I have a set goal to only purchase 1 of them, way too much dinero sunk into the 3 I have now, its obscene.

I've only ever had one console per generation. Sega Master System, SNES, N64 and NGC. Don't know where I'll go this time. I would like to trust Nintendo, but they have screwed us over before.

My GOD! All 3 are ugly! Not like the current ones, that are simple, and beautiful because they're simple. Actually, the Revolution isn't that bad. I heard Nintendo is gonna have a thing that lets you download any Nintendo game ever to your new cube. Plus Xbox live style stuff. Joy! laugh.gif

You're right, they're all butt ugly. biggrin.gif But I also heard they're coming out with WiFi for the DS as well? That'd be nice...

But yea, I also read that the Nintendo Revolution (?) will have N64, SNES, and NES for games for downloading. And since it was on Nintendo's official site, well.. tongue.gif I don't think they're lying.

I download most of them for teh PC anyway, and the humble x-box can emulate them if your so enclinded, so could the PS2 and the Dreamcast. All it means is that Nintendo get to go stomp on all the abandonware and Final fantasy fan sites, whilst the roms will migrate to spyware infested domains full of porn adds.

No more homebrew translations like final fantasy V or Star ocean.....

Boo-Hiss Nintendo!

The only things that I would buy for the rev. cube are things that are hard to do with a keyboard, like Super Metroid. I bet they sell for 5 bucks apiece, so they shouldn't be that much trouble.
