Here's a not-too-unique poll from Entertainment Weekly:
Force Fields
What do you love (and hate) about ''Star Wars''? Vote for your fave characters, top battles, best-loved aliens, and biggest annoyances by Gary Susman
The amazing thing about this poll is it asks you to vote for your favorite Star Wars alien and one of the choices is...
Midi-Chlorians!!!
What has this world come to?

who are these people?
The people who think that the plotless Darth Maul fight was better because there were more flips and other absurd acrobatics.

This is very interesting. I'm doing the polls right now. Looks like Jar Jar got destroyed, there. Almost EVERYONE thinks he's the most annoying character. (So do I)

I'm dumbfounded by the responses to the lightsabre fight question as well. Some of these people even preferred the one with Yoda, Anakin and Dooku. I mean, why?
Also, most of them flunked the evil one. Jabba the Hutt is the most evil character of them all. Yeah, the other guys kill people but Jabba is the only one who actually gets off on feeding innocent girls to a monster. I mean, that's the one of the sickest acts of evil in ANY movie. The only reason why he isn't blowing up planets is because he hasn't got the means. But if he did, he'd be blowing them up like no-one's business and he'd get sexually aroused while doing so. He is one sick creep.

I dunno. I voted for Grand Moff Tarkin as the most evil. Sure, Vader didn't stop him but Tarkin "pushed the button" as it were.

I was confused by the lightsaber results as well. ESB fight just *resonates* so much more for me. The Darth Maul fight was mildly interesting, but didn't shock me in its results like Luke vs. Vader did. The Dooku-Obi-Wan-Anakin duel was a complete let down...nothing there at all to get it off the ground.
Eh, questions were too limiting IMO, but what the hey, its all good fun. Stand up and be counted!

I'm also amazed by the results of the lightsaber duel question. Luke and Vader's first duel... guys, that's the one with "I am your father", remember? These people have no souls.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

Also the first Luke-Vader duel probably has the best cinematography of all of them. And...this is an important thing for me - the first part of the duel uses no music. Look at the start of the fight: the only sounds are the hum and clash of the lightsabres and the sound of the combatants' feet. Beautiful. Now everything has to be overlaid with a crashing, booming, distracting musical score. Of course the Star Wars movies have beautiful music in them at various times but you've got to know when not using music increases the tension of the scene.

The duel between Obi-Wan and Vader was pretty cool, but they were just too slow in their movements. Its classic, and thats what makes it good.
