Okay, I've heard a lot about it, but is it really worth buying?

Discuss.

I've been borrowing a friend's for the last couple days and Oh.My.God. It is an amazing thing. I would purchase one in a heartbeat if I had the cash to spare. The main thing that boggles my mind is how good the games look! It is way beyond even the DS, in my opinion. It looks like a lot of good games are going to be coming out for it. If they release any FF games, I will have to buy it.

I heard nothing but good things about the PSP, but I've never laid a hand on one. sad.gif I believe you completely about its graphics being far better than the DS's, because its true!

I can't wait until later on in the years, when they start releasing game titles that take the graphics and such further.

It actually looks like you're holding a tiny-sized widescreen television. Oh, and I forgot to mention: the PSP plays movies. Yes, I've watched Spiderman on a PSP.

I've already ruled out buying movies. I can't think of a situation where I'd have that that I wouldn't rather play games.

I know, but I imagine you'd be able to rent them pretty soon. I just think it would be cool to be able to watch movies on long drives, vacations, slow days at work, etc. wink.gif

Aye, It's very nice (again experiance from my friends PSP) and again the graphisc are amazing. the gameplay is like the old Playstation, awsomeness laugh.gif

I still hold firm to my belief that god sent down the PSP to test us and find a Keanu Reeves charicter to combat the armies of hell.

Hey! Good to see you back, Zerahsedai! The last time I remember seeing you was way way way back when at the beginning of the 2004 photo album...

the last time I was in japan I bought one but ended up taking it back 3 times because there was a dead pixel on the screen. I ended up having to settle for one which had a dead pixel in the top left hand corner (you cant really notice it), but the first one i bought had one right in the middle of the screen! apparantly, sony dont consider a dead pixel to be a defect so I had a hell of a job getting the shop to change it not once but twice. I dont know if this problem will be fixed in time for the release in the west but its a nagging problem with the PSP in Asia.

anyway, apart from that its great.

Yeah, the kids on my bus play it. I heard it had trouble with electrocuting people.

So, we can watch a UMD for a short amount of time through rental or buy it? I guess the idea of just making it DVD compatible would be blasphemy, right?
