I am in the “3rd day” of “5 Days A Stranger” & have run into an apparent bug? Under “Q. What information am I supposed to gather?” I have acquired & read the news article from Phil, the newspaper from the foyer, a book on the DeFoe family from the library, and Matthew DeFoe's diary from the nightstand in the locked room. However, try as I might, I am unable to “acquire” Sir Roderick's diary from his wardrobe (a green-covered book) to read & therefore am unable to proceed with the game as all efforts to find the “book on white magic” in the library are also fruitless. “Using” Trilby’s “hand” to get the green book seen in Sir Roderick’s wardrobe only succeeds in closing the wardrobe without acquiring the diary. Can you please advise me as to how this can be accomplished so I can continue on & finish the game? rolleyes.gif

The diary and the wardrobe are two different items. You need to click exactly on the book, when 'book' appears in the bar along the bottom.
As I walked through the valley of the shadow of death, I realised that it could do with a lick of paint.

You should probably make a sub-forum for your games, YZ, so everyone can go right there to see if their questions have been answered.
