Yay, at the cost of my soul, my freedom, and my left arm, my work got me tickets to a midnight screening to Star Wars Revenge of the Sith. I am so happy right now I feel like getting up a dancing a little jig *gets up and dances a little jig*... See I told you I was happy.

So, any of you guys got a chance at a midnight screening?

Oh and how long after the new Starwars comes out should we wait untill we start spilling spoilers?

I'd rather not stay up until the early hours of the morning just to be bitterly dissapointed. Sorry. But I will dance for your happiness.

*dances*

See? Does that make you happy?

if i wanted to be disspointed at midnight; i'd nudge my girlfriend and get turned down for sex.

seriously, did you expect to get a positive comment about this on this forum? THIS MOVIE WILL SUCK!

to your question - don't comment until chefelf has had a chance to see it. the only thing good about this disaster being released is reading the 'reasons to hate it' list.

I'm not seeing it at midnight. I don't want to fall asleep. I'll see it during the day, probably a couple of days after it comes out.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Well, I was just hoping to get that nice feeling I got when I first watched AotC, you know, after I saw it but before I reflected upon it. It was a damn good movie as long as you didn't think about it too much.

Of course if it's as good as they're boasting, the world might start spinning in the opposite direction by the time it gets to you.

I didn't feel too bad about Episode I when I saw it (yeah, there was Jar Jar "exsqueeze me!" Binks but he wasn't enough of a reason to make me dislike the movie overall. At first.) But I walked out of Episode II feeling like I had been cheated. I've seen a lot of crappy movies in theatres at full price; I'm not saying that Episode II was the crappiest - it wasn't - but it was the one that made me feel the worst. What really did the movie in was the stupid gladiatorial sequence and then the nonsensical battle where the Jedi just charge in and slash away pell-mell (who was it here who said that the Jedi in Episode II could probably have been taken down by a well-drilled 20th century infantry battalion?)

If someone is rooting for spoilers, I visited Harry Knowles Ain't it cool news page today and there are already some reviews with spoilers there. I won't mention them, see for yourself.
No chance for midnight screening for me, simply because in the Covington Woods nobody heard about midnight screenings. I will be seeing the new film some 18 hours later

For all those people who say "It's the same movie the next day as it is the first night . . ." - sometimes those midnight screenings have added scenes that you never see again. For example, I could have sworn that I saw Alan Alda in the senate in the midnight showing of AOTC. That and Mace Windu belching after cutting down Jango Fett.

I don't understand why 90% of the people on this forum are even going to bother seeing Revenge of the Sith. It's quite clear that you have already made up your mind that you are going to hate it, so there is absolutely no possible way you can enjoy the film. Rather than sitting back and accepting the fact that it is just a movie, you're going to constantly be nitpicking every single scene which you think isn't worthy of an Academy Award.

Save yourself an ulcer and don't see the movie.

Part of the "fun" is in making yourself believe that maybe, just maybe, GL will get it right this time. Usually the trailers look really cool, so we're all suckered back in.

"That and Mace Windu belching after cutting down Jango Fett."
That would be hilarous to see.

And yeah, the trailer did a good job of cinvincing me to see it, even though I have little hope for it. sad.gif
