Okay, I'm sure I missed a big one somewhere... but, too bad. I'm gonna have to go with Doom. It's still fuckin' scary and fun even 10 years later. And I thought of this poll after playing to 700 kills in TimeSplitters 2 deathmatch.

Out of the choices, Goldeneye, though I played more Perfect Dark multiplayer. Ranked 6, I'm the bastard in the white tux that keeps shooting you in the face :-D.

However, Halflife should be up there because the first one kicked ass and the second was fucking awesome.

I haven't played Doom 3 yet, but I'd have to say Doom. Doom is good. Tearing green pixelly cultists apart with a chainsaw was part of my development when I was young.

I hold that Golden Eye is unbeatable, but I question you not putting up Timesplitters 2, especially considering thats what spawned this. That game rocked. Also, the Tribes and UT games probably should have been included.

Fuck. I forgot Half-Life and Unreal. Though TimeSplitters 2 is a fun FPS, it can't compete with some of the more classic games, like Doom. I was just trying to make my own map and got sucked into the Deathmatch. When I looked up it was 700 kills. I used the rockets.

Goldeneye is by far my favorite.

As much a fan as I am to halo and half-life I must give my props to Goldeneye, it’s what started me onto FPS’s and (when I think about it) social gaming as a whole.

With out this game I would not know the joys of a lan-party, CS, or learn my l33t h@X0r linguistic skills.

I disagree. I think TS2 is the second best FPS game to GE. That being said, I'm not a huge FPS fan.

The reason I say that is because even though multi-player is very fun, the single player game was second-rate. When you compare it to a game like Halo, well...

My vote would go to Unreal, but it isn't on there.

All I've ever heard of the Halo single player is running through the same rooms over and over again. But I really should get around to playing it myself sometime.

Essentialy Halo is that, but it does that very well.
