More details here

PS. Is it me or Vader in the cover for 4 and 5 looks suspiciously like the ROTS Hayden Vader (thinner, even the ESB vader seems taken directly from a ROTS teaser poster in purple instead of red?
And why can't they be standalone O-OT versions with original 70's/80's poster art? I have a bad felling about this sad.gif

Yac meaning that the ESB Vader is taken directly from ROTS artwork

No he isn't.

Look at the position of the hand.

ROTS artwork is reaching lower than ESB.

Also, ESB's back shoulder is more prominent.

Have you noticed that they basically stole the designs from existing SW posters?

WHY DIDNT THEY JUST USE THOSE ORIGINAL COVERS!?!?!

Now we are stuck with Hayden Christiansen in the Darth Vader suit....an extremely cartoony looking Vader in the ROTJ cover, and bad photoshopping filter effects. We still have a "post car accident" Luke on episode 4.

"See the title crawl to Star Wars before it was known as Episode IV; see the pioneering, if dated, motion control model work on the attack on the Death Star; groove to Lapti Nek or the Ewok Celebration song like you did when you were a kid; and yes, see Han Solo shoot first."

So even though in our new OT dvd we will be getting a reconstructed crawl, we STILL HAVE TO SEE IT ON THE DVD COVER?!?!

WTF?

I am not buying these things. Any half-assed DVD doesnt deserve my money. Especially considering the DVD's themselves wont have any color correction and wont be anamorphic.

Oh yes. Hell yes. Now please tell me that these aren't the covers that they actually want to put in the stores, 'cause if you do, then there'll be one more form of application lying on Industrial Light and Magic's desk and they will just have to hire me with what little I know about cgi.

Lucas does not care anymore, it may be a nitpick, but it's in the little details we see the effort.

yes, it may be indifferent for him, but it's certainly different for the people who are going to buy it.

I've made my decistion, I will wait for internet reports and screenshots to see if it's worth buying.
One side of me wants it to have quality, the other does not want to give Lucas anymore money, so let's see.

There is always a second option wink.gif
