We are all diverse here. We are of different political, religious, geographic and ethnic backgrounds. Some of us would urinate happily on/in Lucas' grave. Some love the man but are sorry he has fallen. Some worship him seemingly blindly. But there is one thing that runs through all our lives that makes us all alike. Not that we all need food or shelter, not love, not even the all-powerful force.

I speak, of course, of the fact that regardless of whether we are basher or gusher, we all try to move objects with the force, and if there is anyone here who hasnt I'd venture to say they're either very lost or just lying. We've all done it, and it dosnt make us dorks. I for one am proud that I occasionally hold out my hand and concentrate and make faces when a can of delicious cherry coke is out of reach. It's time we stop living in the closet and admit that, yes, we do try to move stuff with the force. So everyone fess up.

I'll admit that I do this very often. No lie. Seriously, I do. If I have had a long day at work, I'll sit on the couch and try to bring the remote to my hands with the force. Many other occasions apply, also. You're right, bud.

LOL! I love Seinfeld! That was a good episode, especially at the very end.

I think drink cans are the most frequent target. I've known people to do it until someone gets up and brings the beverage in question to them.

I dropped a two dollar coin down a sink once. I concentrated real hard on moving it up and out of the drain with just my mind. It didn't work. I never got the coin out and I'm sure it sat there, clogging the sink even further till a public bathroom guy had to fish it out.

That's what usually happens, Jordan.

I've done it, but only as a gag. And that one time I was trying to get this guy back together with his girlfriend and it required me to hang upside-down from a rope and grab a tape that has just fallen out of reach.

Wait a minute, that second time was someone else. Sorry.

What do you mean "try"? Do or do not, there is no try. I *do*. thumbsup.gif

When I was 13 years old I did try to use the 'force' to get stuff. But it was all a joke, I never really thought that the force was real and I knew that whatever object I was trying to move would just stay put.

I have a Force "push" power, but it only works with women, and only when I am walking toward them. Usually, also, I don't even know I am doing it.

It's the oddest thing.

I had that power... for a LONG time.

I think I spend a little more time walking down the street wishing I could ignite a lightsaber or lift off the ground and fly. I also spend a lot of time wishing I could use the Force. I think I'd certainly slip to the dark side. Not that I would use it to do evil things, just lazy things like getting a drink or grab a remote control.

Obi-Wan would be VERY grumpy if he saw me doing that.

Which lead me to this...

Telekinesis: Yeah, tried it way before I saw SW. In fact, when you play the "What super power would you have" game, I choose telekinesis.

Being an old D&D play, I always had a certain pretension for particular spells. I always played an elf magic user/fighter.

Same for fencer, who play the "If you were one of the musketeers, who would you be?" I always chose Aramis.

I used to have the x-wing model hanging from the ceiling above my bed. If I "used the force," I could make it rotate clockwise. Or maybe unwittingly I wanted it to move Counterclockwise, because that's what it did.
