Of course I used a translation machine! I can only speak English, German, Dutch, French and a bit Danish.

And that's quite something... I stick to Portuguese, Spanish, English and a bit of French.

Oh, and what you wrote in Portuguese would translate to something like: "Grafting? Can I speak Portuguese now! That is big!" laugh.gif

Yes yes! Stop grinding in the fact that I can barely speak English, let alone anything else! Dear me, people...

I can't understand how you can learn all those languages. I tried learning Japanese, but I just can't remember vocab.

Geez.

Talk about choosing an easy one... Japanese! ermm.gif

... as for english, it's quite easy since you have to learn it all over highschool and, besides, it's everywhere (games, tv, movies, etc).
Spanish is quite easy too, similar to portuguese in many ways.
French I also had it in highschool... but for less time than english.

Well, the easy answer is "if we'd stayed on a forum on my own space, it'd have cost yet more money". And besides, if I did stump it up now, everyone would shout at me for moving again. I can't stand the shouting, make it stop!!

Bah, as Hari said, oriental languages are a bitch to learn. There just isn't anything to connect with english.

Oh and to brag:
Engrish
Thai (TONAL LAUNGAGE)
and Semi-Spanish

One of the best ways to learn a language (IMO) is to watch some soap operas. You already know the basic plot (all soap operas are the same... ALL), you just have to peice together the words. That, and it shows how things are said under emotion (unlike the monotone tapes and classes). Helped me learn Thai, and right now it's helping me learn spanish.

Ahh, but even Zorro is defeated by pirate.gif

Good to see you, I was wondering what happend.

And as for the Japanes, I was fine with the grammar and sentence structure. I just can't remember vocab. I knew how to set out the sentence, but not what words to say. Rote memory is not one of my strong points.
