Making sense of The Matrix
November 8, 2003

QUOTE
Keanu Reeves doesn't own a computer and has no plans to acquire one. "I don't use the internet, I don't send email, I don't have a secret identity," the star of the Matrix trilogy says. "You don't have to be a computer geek to be interested in the subjects these movies raise."

Still, he says, fans who love the movies and want to talk bytes find it odd - and there are many fans: after the first Matrix film grossed $US171 million, the second instalment, Matrix Reloaded, pulled in $US735 million.

He doesn't own a computer? He has no plans to acquire one? What the hell kind of person does that? Someone needs to call up Keanu and tell him that no matter how much he'd like to believe that he's a Buddhist monk, he's not.

That's... a little strange there... unsure.gif

It's sort of like saying that toothpaste is for wimps. Who doesn't use it, even if they're not in on development of it and they don't really know how it works?

He played Sidhartha in a movie once. That sort of makes him, like, the ultimate Buddhist monk, doesn't it?

What kind of Buddha would allow a foreign devil to represent him in a dramatic re-enactment? Not MY Buddha!!
