If you had to choose between enjoying success at a rapid fire pace and then falling as fast as you rose and being popular for a long time and then gradually fading from public view, which would you choose?

Fade away without a doubt, that way one would propably not lose sight of what matters, and wouldn't land flat faced like a twat.

I'd go for as long as I could and then stop before I faded away and do something else. I'd rather that then drag on what I did after it was a sad shadow of its formal self.

I'd far rather go out in a blaze than enter the painful slow torture of fading away. At least if your success is brief and brilliant you get the chance to pursue new things.

I want to go back to the films of the 80's, where plots were simple, and explosions happened regularly....

That's a Kurt Cobain quote isn't it. Burn out, definately burn out.

In the words of Mark David Chapman, if I had to go, I'd want to go out in a blaze of glory.

Actually, I was thinking of a line from Highlander when the Kurgan (Clancy Brown) is hamming it up in the church.

In most capitalist countries, that goes hand in hand. Unless you're a lesser politician or you have the resources to keep a low profile.

So which would you choose Barend. Let me guess you go for option three: Become one of the dark gods incarnate and live forever upon the blood of the innocent.
