Yeah, that got old for me around the 7th grade, when I came into myself and realized that the people in my school were mostly assholes and that me worrying about not being liked was only detrimental.
I have real life friendships, and the ones I do have are the people I'm closest to. It's not that I don't like people, it's that I don't like very many, I suppose. You're all allright on here though.
And I don't like false aloofness at all. It makes me feel like I've totally botched something or the person just doesn't like me (or is as socially inept).

This will only work for about two weeks, it's the song I've been quoting.

I have the 'like me like me' tag, but I realise some people aren't worth the effort. That's not to say that I hate them, but rather that we just don't click. My friends are mostly people who have similar interests to me.

I think you know within the first 5 mins of conversation whether you're compatible or not, and whether its going to be worth the extra effort.

I'd have to disagree, first impressions are naturally kinda awkward, so you should judge people on them. The thing I like most about my circle of close friends is that we're all very different, asside from the alcohol consumption, makes for an interesting life. The dusty recesses of my mind remember hating all of them at one point or another, but they've grown on me.

I've never paid much attention to how my circles of friends developed. Down South, its been so long since I made all my friends, that I don't remember. Then when I came to uni, it kinda went:
No friends > Massive drunkeness > Massive Hangovers + Lots of friends
Which doesn't help in the slightest.

Most of my school friends had nothing to do with me at school. Of all of my friends that went to my school, I only hung out with two of them whilst I was there. The rest I hung out with after school finished. First impressions are never good, and people change with time.

I doubt it. You seem to have mentioned most of the things I like to talk about in your posts. Off the top of my head, you have a good knowlege of Homestarrunner, Futurama and Conker's.
