Observe.

This is an image I'm hotlinking from Fastclick.net's ad servers. Is this really an ad for Google? The company that boasted they never ran an ad, and spread entirely by word of mouth? Am I reading this image wrong?

Also, what's this about Google picking on the little guy? I've never even heard of Froogles.com until this, and from what it looks like, Froogles was up and running before Froogle was.

I don't get it. Is the lack of competition getting to Google's head?

That ad looks like it may be fake. Hard to tell, though. smile.gif It's alright, Google hasn't gone to the dogs yet.

No, it's real alright. I remember reading a magazine article that the new desktop search was suppose to bu revolutionary in how it keeps a live inventory of all the files you've visited so that you can search fairly quickly.

They have to spend all that money they made somehow. There are only so many golden toilets a company buys before it runs out of ideas to spend money on.

I still have faith in Google. I don't care if they're "picking on the little guy", they still produce great applications. My only criticism is that they STILL haven't opened Gmail to the public completely.

Would you believe, that after months of being around people knowing what Gmail is, I'm only just got where it got the name from? Sorry for that tangent, had to get it out...
