Kefka: Yeah, but you said "Even if GC has greater quality, I'd be willing to exchange that for the slightly lesser quality and much greater quality of the PS2." which you may notice upon reading doesn't make much sense as is. I was trying to figure out what you meant.

My roomie showed me Galactic Civilizations 2 which I am trying when I'm not doing homework or being in class or spending phone/'Net time with my girlfriend.

For the first time I saw 10 players join to one game. It was a bit of a shock at first after realizing they were not the game bots. Wonderful play which dropped to eight players at the end of Morhpeus and went right down to one which I had a good conversation with.

She lives in South Carolina, and I live in New York, so we can only really do 'Net games, and she's always bogged down with projects, since she's in the Fine Arts program at her university. We do when we both have time! It's just we don't have time very often.

Oh, I really liked that for a while until it became boring... *sigh*, nothing ever keeps me interested for more than a few days these days... uhh, you wouldn't happen to know some really great games that are less likely to get boring fast? Preferably some freeware games, just to keep things legal every once in a while? unsure.gif

Hrm... I don't know if I can counter a poor attention span... Let's see... ADOM comes to mind. It's the most kickass and epic rogue-like ever. I've linked La-Mulana earlier in this thread. Play the Original Prince of Persia (Either the DOS/uber old original, or the SNES version), Cave Story... If you're into FPSing, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory is great fun, Betrayal at Krondor, Tyrian 2000, Battle of Wesnoth, maybe Moraff's World or the sequel or something if you can dig it up.

If all else fails, check out Home of the Underdogs for some of the best in Freeware/Abandonware.

I've completed Fable recently. It can be described as a huge, stinky, BORING pile of crap wrapped into golden foil.

Maybe I should start thinking while typing these posts. You know, just for a change.

And now I'm referred to as Kefka? Nice to see my avatar has at least some effect to people.

Well, to each his own, I guess. I prefer the lower volume of great GC titles over the trove of mediocre PS2 ports, but I can't argue if you've just got to have the latest Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid: 2/3, or... no, GTA got ported to XBox and PC... I've mentioned Shadow of the Collosus... Guitar Hero, aaaand Katamari... I'm out of good unique titles. There must be a couple more. Meh.

Gobbler: Did you check out any of those games I linked you to?

Getting started on Adom any second now, after La Mulana turned out to become pretty repetitive after a few rounds...

You mean replace quality for greater quantity of inferior titles?

I have a bazillion games I need to finish before I can get them off of my hard-drive. Arcanum, Planescape, Freescape 2, and Darwinia, just to name a few off of the top of my head.

Oh God, damn you Slade. I've forgotten how many titles I need to play. And I've just gotten Divine Divinity for five dollars at Comp USA.

The list grows ever longer.......

(also played the first few levels of Jedi Knight II, and declared the FPS part shit, but I'm playing through because it's supposed to be a gajillion times better once you get the lightsaber)

Well, ADOM might be repetative, too. I mean, there aren't fifty types of gameplay variations every three seconds.

Did you at least explore the first dungeon in La-Mulana and get the save module before you gave up?

Playing Lego Star Wars II - The Original Trilogy. I wish you could co-op online, though. sad.gif Playing it on PS2 with my boyfriend was a blast, but he lives 2 hours away when I'm at res. sad.gif

The voice acting for the White Chamber is quite good...except for the girl. Which sadly makes up for the majority of the games monologues.

Heh, you have no idea. Try getting the best ending for lots of cheesy voice acting. Although that's probably intentional.

(I feel kind of awkward replying to this post now.)

So, yeah. White Chamber now. Decided to screw La-Mulana for a while.
