And that is why I enjoy being the brother of a proud owner of an Xbox 360. Of course, when the game comes out it isn't as though I will ever get to play it for another couple of months. So basically I am in the same boat. And no computer in my possestion could possibly handle any modern computer game.
Still, I am looking into working in the US Postal Service. The pay is really good if I get in, and I could save up for an extremely tricked out AlienWare PC.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto
Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

I like rule 2: We believe a power greater than Sid Meier could bring us back to our sanity.

Anyway, I got myself three cheapo games over the weekend: Orignal Deus Ex, Blood Omen 2 and a funny little game by a Russian developer IDDK called Train Empire. Reminds me of those models of trains that ran on floors - no wonder those got obsolete with computer games. And, despite being quite simple, the game is bloody difficult, too!

Jeff Minter's a cult programmer across multiple generations who tends to make games involving llamas.
Let's just say it's tricky to find another guy like Sid Meier who's been around since the beginning and hasn't sold out\screwed up majorly. Chris sawyer was a possibility, but he's got some backlash for cash-whoring rollercoaster tycoon.
