That means we won't have to wait as long for another new pope.

But the next one will probably be older and even more crotchety.

I however, am young and virile, with a spring in my step, a belly full of laughs, and whole lotta stabbity death for stupid people.

Vote Pope Slade in 2005! His brain is unimpaired too!

The new pope isn't for:

FREEDOM - Slade is working hard to ensure that you can do what you please as long as you leave everybody else alone!

DEMOCRACY - Feel like you have a place in the downfall of society by being manipulated by politicians who aren't Slade and are always plotting against him! Vote for what you'd like! Let the entire world know how ignorant your country's people really are!

STUFF - Bread, land, and peace for all! Diplomacy and progressive governmental programs to clean up this stinkhole before it becomes a complete garbage dump! Candybars and 30 pound laser printers from 10 years ago! Campaign buttons! Midnight stew!

*Flashes a dashing lop-sided grin and winks.* Vote Slade! He makes Jane giggle!

I am Slade, and I approve of this message.

Yes, he can! For he is the Pope of the Night Life Forums! He's smarter than you, and he's better looking, too! happy.gif

On a more serious note: Citizen-X, I hope to god you're joking.

But Pope slade is also a mod, does that count as a conflict of interest? Surely the church and the moderators should remain separate.

Hmm, regardless, his holyness gets my vote for having SF2's pre-ninja rat as an avatar.

Oh bloody hell. Technically, I'm already voted in by barend back on page 1. However, I have just been taunted, so I have to flex my muscles to put that flock of sheep back in line.

Edit: Flex. Set and game. Please stay civil and keep your bigotry out of here or I'll have to do that again.

Damn fine smiting there Sladadict... Hmmm... It didn't take too much tempting on my part to make you smite them - so I think on some level (most of them) you must have wanted to do that.
Hooray for the nuclear strike! Sladadict has spoken!

I suppose he was the only acceptable choice. For the conservatives he was conservative enough, and the progressive ones could see that it was not yet the time to introduce more progressive, and since he at best has ten years to rule.. Sorry for being a bit crude, but these are the statistics...Maybe within ten years the Church will be ready to accpet slade as his REAL ruler? biggrin.gif

MC: I'm glad to have you behind me, and we'll all work hard to get the people backing Pope Slade. It's time to clean up this joint!

He smote that exact post before what makes you think he can't smite it again.

And not everyone agrees with Slade, but that is no reason to make a personal attack on the man himself - also most people seem to disagree with you. For starters you are wrong - the idea that the Catholic Church is all that holds together those of European descent is stupid - what about the protestants, and the growing tide of secularists.
For the main, you are racist, for seconds you aren't an ambassador of the Church and for the dessert you made an unprovoked personal attack on a moderator and then got huffy about being nuked - "immoral and wiked influences" and all that jazz.
