I have a serious problem with the fact that Padme was an elected monarch, already. On top of that I remembered that she is supposed to be no older than 20. Now if you are as an advanced civilization as the God forgive me "Nubian" people are why the hell would you elect someone to be youre ruler, who is barely old enough to grow pubic hair. Also, I find it extremely decietful to her people, that Padme has a decoy running the government. It would be like that guy from "Thats My Bush" or an ordinary chimp for that matter taking the place of W when the going got tough. Maybe the chimp would do a better job than W, but still it wasnt popularly elected.
It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.

Please, let's drop the politics and talk about SW, 'kay?

If you want to talk about conservative bashing, please go to debate or what not...

That aside, welcome to the boards....

Just admit that Lucas doesnt think things through when he writes this crap. And I stand by my subtle bashing of W.

Funny since you titled your thread 'padme elected'. devil.gif

I have often wondered about the titles these people have. How was Princess Leia 'royalty'? What rank was Senator Bail Organa? Was he a Prince or a King of some sort? There's the Emperor, Queen of Naboo, Count Dooku, Baron Papanoida, and Jedi Knights. So are there any Dukes, Earls, Marquises or Viscounts running around this galaxy? Cheers.

Just so you know, I am not a fanboy. I just thought it would be fun to pretend. That done...

It is obvious that Mr. 4Greedo has no idea about the brilliance of the movie. It makes perfect sense that Padme had a double running the government. Many leaders have deputies. Padme simply used her for protection.

I apologise, but so was what he had done. However, before we get this moved... Let us pretend this never happened.
