Barend- You mean Zombie pee? If you've been bottling Zombie weewee you'll have a good supply by now. I'm not going to give it any real abilities, but it certainly does make things unholy. Also, I forgot to mention that any ship you use your unholy water upon or that zombie pirate blood is spilled upon will float forever as a ghost ship, or until it's been de-unholied.

Arrr, can I an' me crew wait in hiding to see if the ship crashes on the reef, thereby putting us at a rather large advantage which was the purpose of our positioning in the first place? If they do, I'd like to survey the damage they get before deciding what the plans are; if they don't, I'll probably just wait for the next ship. ...Arr.

I call out to the derelict vessel. If that gets no response, I get together a party of five of the newest crewmen to board, lead by one of the men who fought with me at Saint Kitts. I tell them "Lads, today be yer initiation. Today, ye leave th' ship as th' newest o' me crew, an' when ye get back, we will be seein' if ye deserve t' call yourselves shipmates. Go ou' on th' skiff. If ye need any help, jus' give a holler an' we`ll be seein' if a cannonball canna distract whatere rascal`s still on that ship. An' men, if ye dasn't return in four hours, we`re sailin' on. So best o' luck, an' best o' speed t' ye."

Ok. Fawk. My internet broke just as I was posting two large paragraphs so I'm going to make my second post quick.

Spoon- Great, they're stuck. Problem is they've seen you. They can't maneuvre, but they're going to try to eff you just the same. You can move around to a better position and fight them, or run, but you have to do it before they get a bead on you which gives you one turn.

Otal- Your men board the ghost ship. Veteran Seaman's Intuition tells you theres nothing living on there, but you have a bad feeling anyhow. Your men find nothing but blood, corpses (many of them unarmed) and plenty of food and drink. The hold is flooded but the waters dont rise. You can make an awareness check to see what else you notice, but the main thing you get is that this ship should simply not be afloat still.

I care not if the ship be Spaniard or straight out of the bowels of Hell. I sail with any ship as long as it is to my liking, and if they try to use me as cannon fodder, I'll have taken off in the night and be ashore with their treasures and their wives before they know it.

As the pirates say, bring it on, John.

(((Wait, stuck? Stuck on what? I gotta admit, I'm confused. Did they scrape the reef, which would start their ship sinking, or... Please elaborate why their stuck, what kind of stuck it is, how it is that they might get unstuck... Uh, sorry...)))

((Well, I suppose I can't go anywhere until I actually throw something in...I'll fill in more details later.))

Captain Jane Sherwood of the Siren's Virtue, starting off the southern coast of Haiti. The winds are finally picking up again after a long stint of inactivity, and both my crew and myself are itching for action of any kind. I am reclined in my cabin, calmly twirling my Knife and starring at the wall opposite me. Pinned upon it are several pieces of parchment collected from the crew, each with one bit of writing: "SHORE LEAVE", "BAREND", "NAVY BASTARDS", "PRIVATEERING WHORES", and "TREZUR!!!" (I briefly consider having that sailor flogged).

I close my eyes and let my Knife fly.

Ninja Duck- Since Cobnat hasnt posted yet you can wander the docks. There are three bars and probably a brawl started or about to start in each of them. The first is the salty dog, the second is the gaping orifice, and the third is the wolloped trolloby. Each one has a thingy in it, so it's like a choose your adventure!

Spoon - She's stuck on the reef, her rudder all befuddled with the coral and the whatnot, and they're trying to use planks and secondary anchors to pull her free. Basically she's stationary.

Otal- You hop on the boat and find that theres black sand tracked about. Naturally I'd assume you look at the treasure. That's odd. Only gold is missing. Jewels, food, even the rum is still there. Once again though, you can find no reason this ship should still be floating and you still have that eerie feeling.

Jane- You rolled a 17 on your knife skill. You look pretty awesome twirling the BFK and a crew member who happens to pass by sees this and makes a note never to fuck with the captain. Also, when you throw it the knife sticks into Navy Bastards and quivers in the wall for a while. Ignorant Ian comes down with his own piece of parchment whereupon he's written "Arts and Crafts time", wondering if it's too late to put in his entry.

(reposted from the previous page)Cobnat- Sure, your captains name is Amrand Martinez, and he's a veteran of the armanda, the portion of the armada entirely commanded by guys named Armand. Just a fun fact. He's decided that he will go towards Tortuga to crew up. He's also decided you'll be in the crow's nest of th Nova, his ship, for the next 12 hours. Should you follow the order you have the choice of keeping a good lookout and staying awake/sober, or getting into some rum/getting some rest. Either possibility has some disadvantages. If you fail to spot a mark, or worse yet a persuing man of war, you'll be keelhauled, but if you stay up all damn night you'll be really tired by the time there is any action.

I assume I'm still holed up on the same island as I was previously? Lacking any plot hooks, I'm going to go on the offensive and contact my information network. I want it spread through official channels that "The mighty inquisition has become aware of a potential heretic by the name of "Barebones" Barend. By decree of the Almighty, it is the sole position of the inquisition to make such a judgement on men, and as such none are to judge him until he has met with my most august personage." I want it spread through unofficial (and loyal) channels that I wish to meet with Barend to propose a buisness deal, and thus my agents are to either pass that message to him or give me information on his location/activities to the best of their abilities.

In the meantime, I'm going to start stocking up on crosses, holy water and making sure my ship is as consecrated as is possible.

Cobnat. Ok, you're keeping some watch. By the time the ship pulls into port you're rather weart and all you've seen is some guy wondering the docks and heading into a dive on the harbor, some place called the Wolloped Trolloby. Your Captain decides its time for a bit of shore leave and to crew up so you can get off the boat.

Ninja Duck- On the way you see that ship finally pull up. Theres a guy in the crows nest but soon the crew of the ship is streaming off for shore leave. The ships name is the Nova and she flies no flag. The crew look very much like the pirate type and a chorus of Yaharrs follow as they head into all three bars.

Sime- You put out the word that no one is to mess with Barend. Never has there been an order that the Spaniards and slaves were so glad to hear from you. Not being allowed to go after Barend is just fine with most of those under the Spanish flag. However, no one onm your ship dares to make a sign of merriment, because they're afraid they'd be sent to row in the galley. The ship has sails and all, but occasionally they cna be struck and your crew/slaves forced to row just to have something laborious to do.

However, no member of the Jesuit order has seen Barend and lived to tell about it, and none of them are too eager to deliver this message. Regardless, it is the lord and the blessed virgin's work, so your Jesuit order allies go to it with gusto.

And as a Jesuit you can consecrate the hell out of things so consider your ship consecrated ground.
