I, for one, would not be able to avoid joining in if I saw two female penguins attempting copulation.

What are the circumstances here? Were there no female penguins around, or were there female penguins around and the male penguins just hooked up with eachother instead?

Either way, I think pro-creation takes precidence over the rights of animals to be homosexual. Unless the protesters are very strict Darwinians, and then they are just supporting their own demise.

I think that there weren't enough female penguins to go around, and the males ended up forming partnerships. They shipped in some hot female model penguins, but the males weren't interested, perhaps since they were already busy doing crystal meth together (while listening to Emperor Penguin, of course).
