But why not adopt a multi-armed skeleton, with gun arms - like the destroyer, a heavily armoured body a la IG-88, and multiple manipulator arms. Also - given the fact that they are droids they could use poisonous/chemical/biological weapons with impunity. The destroyer layout was cool - save for the fact that their rolling motion indicates a launcher or wheel formation but none is present.

They should be able to understand spoken orders, but they could readily give a binary language report which a human-cyborg relations droid interprets.

Yes, droid armies in concept is a really cool idea. I personally like the "droidekas" (which is a stupid name).

And yes, I agree with you 100% on droids driving tanks. I mean, the fighters were autonomous, why weren't the tanks?

Yeah, I agree with that, too. The tanks should've been robots themselves.

You know what scene I really hate... when the Republic Cruiser boards the TF ship, there are a bunch of droids standing around TALKING!! Talking like they were caught at the watercooler!!

Oh, this has been brought up, hasn't.... smile.gif

Anyway...um... cool scenes. There are some nice cinemagraphic scenes in TPM. For some reason, during the pod race when Anakin is catching up with Sebulba, there is a shot of one of the audience box with Watto in it. As the pods race by, Watto moves along with the shot. I can't describe it right. It's really nice, composited well, etc. It's just a shame that I think the pod race is bunk as a whole.

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"

All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

Agreed.

How pretty would it be to see gungans (especially general jar jar) choking, drowning in their own lungs and bubbling up with blisters and pustules?

That would be cool, but impractical. Think how small computer chips would be. I doubt it would be problematic to get a droid to vocalize a report.

True - but protocol functions would be superfluous to a battle droid except when giving reports to their masters, and seeing as their masters already have protocol droids for welcoming guests and negotiating across language barriers there is no reason the protocol droids can't do hyman-cyborg relations.

As for Gungans dying from gas weapons - if it hurts Jar Jar - I'm all for it.
