History is written by the victors. The United States dropped nuclear warheads on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we don't hear the rest of the world yelling, just Islamic fundamentalists (and people like me who are drowned out due to cries of "Jihad"). And the IFs are usually pissed off about something else anyhow.
Edit: Ah, you mentioned that, Lector. Truman gave the orders to nuke Japan, I believe FDR had died by that time.

Ms. Corvax, I apologize, I didn't mean to single you out in the slightest. Immediately after I posted that, I put up the ANGER topic, which you mentioned. I just used your example here because it was closest. I didn't throw around banning threats, I can't ban people and would never consider it except in an extreme case not yet seen on a message board, and then Nate would probably get to the person before I could bring it up, I mostly just poke people in the eye with a stick. It's a general message (hence the EVERYBODY in there). I'd been getting ready to stop people being so dreadfully awful to one another for a bit, and your post just reminded me to get on it. The fact that you said you'd be "amazed" amid the general chaos that has been around lately should probably have been a clue I didn't mean you!

I find fascism dreadfully offensive as an ideology. Attack the argument, not the person making it, that's all I meant.

Can't we use colorful terms? Like 'Nazi's are sick freaks'. I thought the whole idea of the debate forum was to concentrate anger and rip each other apart.

If you read back at some of the old debates, they're hilarious, even though they were serious at the time. Especially JM and Hannibal's back and forth posts to one another. It's like watching an episode on TV.

I vowed my self never to come to the Debate forum again, but I just can't stop myself.

I understand you did not mean to single me out, but it is just unfortunate that you admit that my post REMINDED you of it. Funny that pleny of stuff that's been going on here did not prompt you to do that.

And again, I am just curious, why me?

At no point did I offend anybody personally. If I did, point it to me and I will take it back and apologise to the person immediately. But I do feel justified in my beliefs against ideologies which lead to genocide and I feel entitled to express my opinion. I have drawn on my personal experience, hence emotional to ne of my post. I can of course direct you to other sites, or quote what other people have been saying about that (some of forum members like to do that), but I thought maybe you would appreciate personal input more. Apparently I was wrong.

Slade, please have a look at page 4 of the "Messa Howl thread" in the Star Wars forum. Some people call each other names in a VERY, VERY personal manner. And what happens then.....????

Other stuff had been going on, I just chose that moment to finally decide to put my foot down. I've been being lax, and I apologize. It had nothing to do with you or what you said, specifically, it could have been anyone. It was entirely whimsical that I chose that moment.

I'm not in charge of the Star Wars forum, thank Eris! I'm afraid to even step foot in there most of the time. I've seen what goes on, and frankly, I'll stay away.

Everybody, just go about posting as you've been doing and I'll let you know if you've gone overboard. It takes alot, and the worst I'd ever do is nuke a very angry ranting post.

You're one of the more positive contributors on this forum, Ms. Corvax. I don't want to chase you away.

At any rate, back to God: I put forth Pearl Jam as evidence that there is no God.

I put forward Bush being president even though he was never able to prove he won after a recount. Also, the fact that he has been arrested three times, and had to get his dad to bail him out of jail when he was in his thirties. This wasn't some thing that happens when your young, he was reaching middle age and he was done for drunk driving. Not only that but his cocaine connections, and it seems that he bought most of his dad's cronies back in with him. This is often referred to as "corruption", because they would have not got in if George W Bush was not George HW Bush's son. If that wasn't enough he knowing killed innocent people while he was govenor of Texas, purely for political sympathy so that people wouldn't think he was changing his mind about stuff. That is my evidence that there is no god. [Jm insert Nazis here]

Skittles, reeses peanut butter cups, Nirvana, marijuana, my ability to write, the fact that any of us exist at all in any way at all, my continued ability to escape prosecution for the myriad of petty misdemeanors I commit, the unedited original trilogy of Star Wars, and those cute little umbrellas that are put in delightful mixed drinks show that God does indeed exist, and that he is trying.

Maybe the "forbidden fruit" was a dildo, that puts a whole new spin on the story.

George Bush not appropriate as President? Hell, my dad saw Al Gore drop his cell phone into a urinal.

Not only is it damning, but it's true, too.

JM - That's for another time and place.

Speaking of guest voices in cartoons, I love it when people actually get Stephen Hawking to type out those messages instead of doing their own robot voices. I don't know why they do it unless it's just to be funny.

Jane - I've never thought in terms of smileyfaces before. What's that like?

People are all made of sand. The question of God's existance is irrelevant!

Yeah just like choking on a pretsel and knocking yourself out on the table? Erm. I know, getting arrested for drunk driving? Oh wait Bush done that too.
