Yes... I assumed we were taking non-human gods. George Lucas is cool. Monkey Island forever.

I thought it was Ron Gilbert we have to thank for that. He created it.

Deities on Earth? If we're going for such a copout, what of the panthenon of Guy McKnight and Angela Gossaw? Dear me people...

Don't forget Johnny Depp!

I won't hear anything to the contrary if we're naming humans as gods.

Indeed? Within Angela Gossaw, we have the two marks of a deific panthenon (shit hot lady, killer growly vocal chords) with nothing sacrificed in return. Such a unity can only speak of a higher power.

I've always liked Indiana Jones more. Now that's a trilogy that kicks ass!

I fear we maybe making a false idol out of Lucas. We also risk a potential holy war with the Trek fanboys.

Dante stole managerial techniques and brought them to humanity. Satan noticed what a good individual oppressing idea it was and set hell in it's image, and thus we are all damned.

I want to go back to the films of the 80's, where plots were simple, and explosions happened regularly....

QUOTE (Jane Sherwood @ Mar 4 2005, 05:06 PM)
As for hell, I don't believe in hell.  At least, I don't think humans go there.  I think it takes a special type of Evil (note the capitalization) to be cast into that Realm, one that all but a few humans are truly capable of achieving.

I guess it depends on what you read. From a biblical perspective hell is merely defined as the absence of God. Of course this presents it own little problem in terms of omnipresence and all. thumbsup.gif
