Ah, that's most definatly from Fawlty Towers, the episode where all the Germans come to stay.

You've seen late night shopping? Guess I should have just put in to quote about porno reactions huh?

anyway, I'm pretty sure your quotes from Ed wood, If I'm wrong, feel free to stab me.

'They'd all laugh at me if they knew what I was trying to do... to create a new strain of super-wine in a half an hour with a fraction of nature's resources and a FOOL for an assistant. "_____ ____, he's mad," they'd say. "He's insane. He's dangerous." Well I'll show them! I'll show them all!'

Ok, I don't know the answer to Jane's quote, but I am sure if it is Johnny Depp film, she's seen far more than I did, so I won't be able to guess it

Here is one from me anyway:

'What else could we give you?
'Eggs!
'Eggs! We can't give you our eggs! They're too valuable'

hint - it's real eggs they are talking about...

Jane Horrocks as a plastacine escape artist talking to the rats in chicken run.

Now that my heads recovered somewhat:

'Brad, for 14 years I've been a whore for the advertising industry. The only way I could save myself now is if I start firebombing.'

Damn... I'm always dreaful at these things, and only having seen/read/heard 3 or so of the subjects, I'll be a piss poor contestant.

In regards to the rules, why are websites not allowed, but webcomics are, and newspaper comics aren't?

The way I figure it, different newspapers have different comics, so not everyone would have access to them. Webcomics seem like they would be easier to find, and the ones most likely to have any kind of memorable quotes would be pretty well known. As for websites...well, when I was thinking up the rules it just seemed too unorganized and too broad a source.

My last quote: Mort, Secret window.

This quote: Lester Burnham, American Beauty.

"How was it?"
"It was great. She showed me all the wallpaper and where everything is going to go."
"Well that's nice."
"And then she brought me in the back room where she took all her clothes off."

Website quotes generally aren't as memorable as the spoken word, different countries/regions have different newspaper comics, and webcomics.....erm....guess I'c better wait for Jane to explain that one.

Knowing the source isn't always part of threads like this anyway, they have a dual purpose; hey I like that, look up movie thing.

But since no-one got the bonus question the dubious connection was: James Marsters (Spike) starred in house on haunted hill as the cameraman at he beginning. AHA, both the blueberry and the cyanide laced muffin remain mine to scoff! Now, which one was which........

I little voice behind me has informed me that the quote is from edward scissor hands, presumably by Edward (Depp). I have told her to be quiet, but she is very persistant that it's the correct answer.

Continuing along the same path:

'A drug person can learn to handle such things as seeing their dead grandmother crawling up their leg with a knife in her teeth. But no one should be asked to deal with this trip.'

I haven't seen it, but judging by the context of the question, my vote is somewhere in Fear and Loathing is Las Vegas. However since I can't answer specifically and am unsure as to my accuracy, I still can't use any quotes.

Well you're correct on the film, It is from fear and loathing, and of course It was spoken by Roaul (Depp).

Another Depp on for Jane, Since all i'm hearing from Vic right now is 'Johnny Depp this' and 'Johnny Depp that' I'm going to have to take her to the pub to shut her up.

Danbury wasn't a prison, it was a crime school. I went in with a Bachelor of marijuana, came out with a Doctorate of cocaine.

Yeah, that is Johnny Depp as the drug dealer from "Blow" with Penelope Cruz.

And the girl in Chicken run was Julia Sawalha, not Jane Horrock, IMHO

Ok, this is from one of my favourite episodes of a SF series from the 90s

"We have to dream in order to survive"

I will be really impressed if you can guess it
