Personally, I've been annoyed at the whole "healthy eating take away" thing for awhile now. If I wanted something that wasn't full of fat, I wouldn't get takeaway to begin with. And for the record, Red Rooster have been leaning towards the healthy bit for years.

Do we need some Chylds-eye irony on it? Yes we do...

-Allegedly, due to the dressing used on it, a McDonald's salad contains more fat than a Big Mac does.

-There's been quite some uproar over a food dye lately, called Sudan 1, that seems to be in lots of food and causes cancer. Guess whose Caesar Salad dressing contains a nice healthy wodge of it?

To be fair, the only proper takeaway I've been eating for ages is kebabs at midnight. The moment Ronald MacDonald gets on that bandwagon, I'll give a flying monkeys ass.

I went to subway once. In the end we had to drop by Hungry Jacks, as the 30c cone had more substance the the 6".

A few days ago I went into burger king and ordered a massive, greasy cheeseburger.
It was delicious.

The only take away I'll do is order out for Dominoes Pizza every couple of weeks, but that's just because I get so sick of cafeteria food I'm nearly to the point of vomiting.

Sorry if this is somewhat off-topic… but…

Personally… I think what it all comes down to eventually is moderation, a balance of healthy eating and exercise, not solely one or the other. But the one thing that pisses me off is the fact that some people expect to become healthier and leaner by their diet alone.

Some people may argue that we have to modify our diet to suit modern living… but I’m pretty sure France isn’t living in medieval Europe… they are as modernized and developed as anyone else, but they have no weight problems over there, because everyone eats healthy food, in sensible amounts, plus they either walk or cycle to were they need to go… not drive.

Now America on the other hand (sorry to all you Americans out there, but we need an example) I’m not sure what the percentage is, but I’m pretty sure over half the population is overweight. Probably because no one but the health enthusiasts, exercise enough, plus a few relatives of mine went over there one year and said the size of the meals over there are huge. E.g. order a small meal of something and get something (which is considered where I live) to be something around a large.

Long story short: install treadmills in McDonalds to compliment the “healthy menu”.

Oh random George, we hardly knew ya. Who knew people were sensitive about how much thought they put into a forum post.

The pecentage is pretty high for fatties just look at these skewed stats.
Click here now, I demand it!
Scared the hell out of me, not because the percent is so high, but because it seemed right when I compare obese people I know against the total.

What I'm really worried about is the rise of child obesity. I was a little fat kid in elementry, then after I got my braces off (which somehow got me to just stop eating) and had to start walking 5 miles, threw the acid swamps, uphill both ways to my middle school and now I am my slim, somewhat anorexic self. But alot of my guy friends have got boobs so big even I am getting hot off them blink.gif .

Oh I also found this while searching for stats.

I was a fairly small little kid, not one of those stick-figure ones, but a normal healthy size. My weight problems started once I hit puberty and whatever balance I had was shot to hell. It's kind of the opposite of what happened to my mom, she was a fat kid, but managed to lose all the weight when she was a teenager.

I've been blessed by a metabolism that simply burns off everything I eat, with only lots of walking to burn it off. However, the amount of crud I'm eating at uni (not fast food, per se just bad eating) is starting to add mass to me. I do need to exerise more, really...

Such blatant honesty for an internet forum.
Just to skew this a little bit, I'm 6'1, 185 pounds, and a varsity swimmer who eats nothing but fresh vegetables and meat that I kill myself with my bare hands. You have no idea how much work goes into getting a hamburger . . .

I'm about 6'2", and weight about 69 kg. I have a visible lower ribs(not to mention vertebrae and pulse, but thats a different story) and my arms are about the same thickness at my wrists as they are at my shoulders. I've always been like this(well, I wasn't 6' in primary school, but you know what I mean)and apparantly my dad was when he was younger. But he put on weight before he hit my age, so I'm getting a bit worried. I have a fairly varied diet, but I don't go out of my way to eat healthy. Hell, I tend to make frozen pizza for lunch when I'm at home. I also have Red Rooster on my way home from working at the football, which is generally once a week. Otherwise, takeaway is randomly had if I go out somewhere with friends.
