Yet another parody... And it's not Star Wars, for once.

I don't know if anyone else here likes the Myst games. (I suspect that the answer is probably 'no'.) However, if anyone wants to read it, I've started to write a parody of the recently released Myst IV: Revelation. Find it here!

I've played the first three, but haven't gotten around to Revelations yet. So, I'll hold off reading until I play it. I also have to say that I hated Uru.

I tried the demo of Uru but didn't like it, so I didn't bother getting the full game.

I think the Myst games went down hill after the two guys (brothers?) who did them split.. Sort of like how the last space quest wasn't as good since it was done only by one of the two guys from andromida.

Yes, I agree... Riven was without doubt the high point of the series. Myst III, which was developed by Presto rather than Cyan, wasn't nearly as good. Myst IV would have been better if it hadn't been for some really cheesy acting and all the hippy-dippy spiritual crap in the last Age.

The fifth and last game is being developed by Cyan again, which is reasonably encouraging. Then again, it sounds like they're just using material left over from what was to be Uru Live, so I'm not particularly hopeful.
