Safari has this cool feature that when you type in something, it tries filling in with the url you most often visit that starts with what you've typed in.

I wrote "w" and what I got was: "www.chefelf.com/forums/index.php?act=idx"

Should I be worried?

With Firefox, I type "ww" for my address and get the forums. Bookmarks are for those with no memories... biggrin.gif

I don't even have to type anything like that. I have topic reply updates in my e-mail every time I sign on, so I just follow those.

I get Fullyramblomatic.com every time I type in "FU". smile.gif

That's too cute Janey!

But seriously, I'm starting to think schoolwork is getting in way of my forum addiction...

Apparently my mother believes that five hours a day is plenty of time to use the Internet, so she's had time limits set up like that since I was thirteen. dry.gif

My parents used to stick stuff like that on me. No Internet until off-peak hours, no more than an hour at a time. Then they stopped being dumb and got it paid monthly instead of hourly, and all time constraints vanished off of the face of the Earth. Got to the stage where she was using my eBay account more than I was...

Her main point is that since the whole family uses the same AOL account, I can't monopolize the phone line for hours on end. Funny, I could have sworn the whole issue originally started as a punishment for lying about taking my gym shoes to school in eighth grade...

We got over that by not having AOL, using broadband, and employing three semi-networked computers. I admit, the latter isn't for everyone, but damnit, me and my dad like out computers.

Not an option for me, unfortunately. AOL is all I've known since I was eight, so at this point it's almost impossible for me to get used to anything else.

That, and my parents refuse point blank to dish out for an extra phone line.

An extra phone line is a necessity. So is getting rid of AOL. It is the brand-X of ISPs.

Methinks that you don't even need another phoneline to use broadband. Unless its different there.

ADSL should run off your normal line, assuming its connected in your area. Thats the main problem here. Huge demand, with limited supply. We have three computers(mine in my room, my brothers in his room, and dad's in the study)all hooked up to the one hub/router/thing(for some reason located in the pantry)which is hooked up to the ADSL. Works for us.
