I'm thinking about going opening day, and i'll tell you why:

I just want to see the unique group of people you only meet at cons and at the 12am/9am shows on opening day of a PT episode. Ykno, for the camaraderie of it all. Even though they'll probably be gushers, they alone may be worth 10 bucks.

What say you?

I probably won't even see it in the cinema, to be honest. I'll wait till my brother gets it on DVD or something.

The sandpeople had women and children. We know this because Anakin killed them how could he tell? The children might be smaller but I never saw a sandperson with breasts. Did they hike their skirts and show him some leg or something?

Also, I can see the point of wanting to kidnap a human and use her as a slave, but they didn't. They tied her to a flimsy easel for a month. It's assumed they had to feed and give her water. What for? Was she purely ornamental? I can understand them wanting the droids, you can sell those for a lot of money, but a chick who's only skills are finding non-existand mushrooms and getting randomly pregnant, you're not going to get much.

I worked in a movie theater for two and a half years, figuring I'd hang in there just until I could see Episode III for free, but that's over now so I don't know what I'll do. I can honestly say though that I'm only watching it out of obligation - I wasted two and a half hours of my life on the other two, I may as well waste another two and a half on this one just to see how old Georgie boy decides to end his not so great space opus. alien.gif alien.gif alien.gif

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.

I have a friend who works at the movies, so I'll get in for free. But I doubt I'll go for the first few weeks since most people going durng that time will be gushers, and why the hell would I want to surround myself with those people tongue.gif

I think I will go and see it at the cinema. I so rarely go these days, and this one will be just for the old time's sake . I will go and puke into somebody's popcorn.
I am quite curious as to when it will reach my end of the universe, I think fairly quickly.

If you manage to see it in a large city with a population of millions and yet the first screening of the film is only in one particular theatre, then you will get this scene. Otherwise, this crowd will be spread out borough to borough and IMO, lining up for hours will just be a waste of time.
"I had a lot of different ideas. At one point, Luke, Leia and Ben were all going to be little people, and we did screen tests to see if we could do that." -George Lucas, in STAR WARS: the Annotated Screenplays (p197).

I'll be there opening night. I have unique ability to not allow past incidents affect the here and now. When I go to see Ep3, the great dissappointments of the previous films will not enter my mind until the credits roll on screen. 20 minutes later I fully expect to be on this board calling for Lucas to be tried as a traitor to millions.

Won't see it on opening night, I hate queing, but I'll definately check out the costume event with the participants waving plastic sabers in the faces of innocent passers-by. tongue.gif

The plastic light saber comment sounded fun. Might be interesting to go as a gusher.

I mean, George Lucas is a god, man.
