I've been pointlessly thinking about the mind-numbing fact how even with every factor possible going in his favor, GL mananged to make the PT suck.

I'll focus on TPM in particular b/c back in 1999 the excitment was so thick you could touch it.

Bungee understood that after Halo, they couldn't make a good sequel. They had to make the greatest game ever. Nothing less would suffice. The pressure, hype, and excitement was extremely similar to Phantom Menace. But unlike a certain director i won't mention, Bungee understood its unique position.

When Bungee realized that there was absolutely no way it come make the single-player campaign on Halo 2 live up to the hype on their time table, they focused on making everything else absolutely perfect. Result: unbelievable game, perfect 10s in every catagory except single player, which was quite disappointing. Nobody cared because they made up for the flaws, and even apologized in the additional material.

Even though Bungee knew that it had already sold millions of preordered copies, the refused to release until the game was good. I have a ton of respect for Bungee, because Bungee obviously respects me, a fan.

So yeah, Halo 2 didn't live up to the hype...but they dealt with it like pros.

GL on the other hand...hell...i don't even need to explain it. Just reverse everything I said about Bungee, except the die hard fans, the presales, and the fact that everyone in the world wanted to get invovled and make the project good. He still fucked up. What a retard. I feel robbed, abused, disrespected, used.

Bungee has the balls to admit Halo 2's "ending" sucked. GL can't even acknowlege the simple idea that many lifelong fans have legitimate complaints.

"We get the most fan mail for Jar Jar, more than any other character" George Lucas.

Hmmm, he also fails to mention many of those letters are probaly none to kind to Star Wars "most beloved" character. That's how Lucas deals with any criticism directed towards Star Wars. It goes in one ear and out the other. Hence why AOTC is and ROTS will be just as crappy as TPM
