Since the Mixed CD project fell through due to lack of interest, let's play a game on here instead. I'll get the ball rolling with a theme of my choice, and then list at least 12 songs to make a mixed CD around that theme. Then I'll end by coming up with a new theme, and the next person has to do the same. Just make a list of at least 12 songs that fit the theme. The theme of the mixes has to be sensible, and not too specific. They DO have to be possible and all. However, the theme can be anything. Just an entire mix from a certain band, a certain genre, lyrical content. Whatever. So here goes nothing:

Theme: Synth Pop

01) Depeche Mode - "Just Can't Get Enough"
02) Freezepop - "Science Genius Girl"
03) New Order - "1963"
04) Thomas Dolby - "She Blinded Me With Science"
05) A Flock Of Seagulls - "Space Age Love Song"
06) Ladytron - "This Is Our Sound"
07) Pet Shop Boys - "West End Girls"
08) Devo - "Working In A Gold Mine"
09) Tears For Fears - "Shout"
10) Duran Duran - "Hungry Like The Wolf"
11) Culture Club - "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?"
12) Gary Numan - "Cars"

I'm sure I could do more, but I chose a trickier theme than I thought I did.
Okay, for the next one, I want to see "90s Metal". Go!

All of my choices for "Crotch-kickingest percussion work in the universe" were chosen based on what I feel to be great drumming. There may be something like ONE fill in the entire song that I feel warrants its presence on this list.

01) Dillinger Escape Plan - "43% Burnt"
02) The Hives - "Die, Alright!"
03) The (International) Noise Conspiracy - "Bigger Cages, Longer Chains"
04) Nirvana - "Scentless Apprentice"
05) Tool - "Intolerance"
06) The Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Date With The Night"
07) System Of A Down - "Know"
08) Led Zeppelin - "Immigrant Song"
09) Van Halen - "Hot For Teacher"
10) Sloan - "She Says What She Means"
11) The Who - "I Can't Explain"
12) Lamb Of God - "Laid To Rest"

I'm sure I can do more, but I'm stopping now.
New theme: "Covers that don't suck".
