This may be old new to the rest of you, but there's something about it that really hacks me off:

http://news.bbc.co.u...cas/4252601.stm

Let me get this straight, he's proposing to PAY these countries for helping him with his war now is he? Why don't we just stick up a sign and say 'nation for hire' and be done with it? I may not agree with going to war, or with the 'aid' packages Rumsfield was handing out at the beginning to drum up support, but publicly announcing that you're funding the entire thing just insults everyone involved.

Any country that accepts this blood money has no honor.

Is stuff like this even acceptable on the world stage?

you ever hear in the news the term 'civilian contractor'? They have even given some of these parasites military funerals. They are mercenaries.

halliburton, as examined in a PRI(Public Radio International) broadcast employed more mercenaries in the first gulf war than the US Army,Navy and Marines combined had troops stationed there in Kuwait.

I would say this is a war for mercenaries already.

But Haliburton's a company, not a country. You can't just buy and sell your population and armed forces to the highest bidder. I know this stuff goes on behind the scenes but GWB is making a very public display here.

That's because he can and no one cares. Anyone says anything, if they aren't charged with terrorism and other crimes Unamerican, the sheep don't listen, and the right wing just says "The damned media is so liberally biased!"

Wow, four hundred million! That's absolutely incredible from a financial standpoint. Hear me out here. Great Britain's lost like what 100 men? So when you break it down under Bush's payment plan thats like 4 million dollars per Brittan that Bush gets killed. Really, I mean you can't beat that I mean its easy to put a price on human life and Tony Blair is a great leader to get the highest price possible.

From a moral standpoint however its fucking sick.

Since when have morals really mattered to politicians?
