Nothing bones me more than the possibility of a Star Wars live-action TV series or that of a furthur three movies maybe under the direction of a bunch of directors other than Lucas. More on my opinion of a series of three sequels in a second, but first up, Steve Sansweet, Lucasfilm's Director of Content Management and Fan Relations, told Now Playing Magazine about Lucas's plans for his holy series for the future.
"We are looking into all kinds of things for the future. We're looking for television clearly: Animation [and] we are looking into live action television... Certainly with LucasArts we are looking into interactive games; not only the kinds of things that are there now, but as technology progresses we're looking at what direction that can go".
He also added, and I quote once again, "We will keep Star Wars alive and well as long as there is an audience, which we think is an indefinite horizon."
