I dont' know if the joke would hold up through a whole movie but man that trailer is good.

Kudos to Scott Bullock for his amazing job as Palpatine. He steals the show.

Also, I enjoy the Sam Raimi-esque scene where Sidious tries to come up with names for the Death Star.

And on second viewing, there is something about the timing of the scene where Yoda says, "Way to go, Kenobi," that just gets me in stiches every time. laugh.gif

what cracked me up the most was when Mace said "why shouldn't he just get
some cotton balls and start cleaning the floor"...and Yoda has this great speechless expression then finally blankly says "what?".
That had me on the floor laughing.

God, this is so good. The best dialouge is from the Death Star scene. "I'll call it... The Sphere O' Fear!". I also love the way Anikin's a complete idiot.

You're right, I guess it can be hard to hold up a joke like that throughout an entire movie, but I'd definately like to see them try. But maybe that's too much to ask. Oh well.

Somebody give these guys a budget!!! This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while, and it has really helped to lighten my mood in regards to the SW fiasco.

"You're softer than saaand!"
"Comfortable would be good."

Priceless!!!

And, I agree, these guys are doing a better job of acting than anyone in the PT's.

They certainly have better comic timing.

Battle for the Galaxy--read the "other Star Wars"

All I know is I haven't seen the real prequels yet.

The acting IS better. Hell, with the way Jar Jar is acting in the 'trailer' I might actually change my mind about the bum and like him! tongue.gif

I watched it again. 3 minutes into, I started once more: This time with pen in hand to count the LOL moments. A chortle would do. Anything audible. Third viewing brought 40 such instances. I hope those guys get some props.

That's great stuff. This is how most PT detractors view Anakin anyways.

I think we should all email the creators in show of support. I don't know how many basher forums exist, (I usually can't find any), but if this is the only one, we should show our appreciation. Many here love that thing for so many reasons, whether its the Anakin portrayal, the Jar Jar killing, the alcoholic Obiwan, the "Jedi are racist"(that would be the joke that did it for me), or the overall redicule of Star Wars, its obvious that this little film resonates with us who have been betrayed by George Lucas. Hardware Wars and Spaceballs, while enjoyable parodies, do not facilitate the gripes, the observations of the general fan audience. Fans (or ex-fans) made Episode III: THE LOST HOPE. It embodies the feelings of millions, and we need to support these cooks in hopes they might do another, or progress with their efforts.

Many over the years have made jpegs, cartoons, and a couple cheesy songs, but none take on the "issues" we have had, and utilize them in a project such as this.

THink about this, Hardware Wars was a cheesy 8mm film, a home movie basically, and it eventually played in theaters tagged onto the opening previews of some films.

It is known by millions of people, and it wasn't exactly the greatest parody in history.

I might add, that Obiwan Kaboozy, was known as "the red-eye" knight...in Hardware Wars...where did this alcoholic Obiwan thing come from? Have I missed something?
I know McGregor is a boozer, but it seems to go back to Hardware Wars as well. Maybe it was because of the name, GUINESS. Anyway, I'm going to track these people down, and join their forum, send them all the support I can.

I gave Lucas thousands of dollars, as did my parents, for total %100 shit for years in the 80s, the least I can do is help out someone who lifted my spirits after the great letdown of George Lucas.

What do you say we all do? I never ask anything from you people, but as a cheerleader for the truth, I sincerely nominate this as one of the most historic and important films in STAR WARS HISTORY. The moment when the bashers had a real voice, a voice which communicated the spirit of our misgivings in about 2 minutes.

I think they deserve our support, this film was for free, and we all know that 99% of you are going to pay George Lucas somewhere between 8 and 10 dollars in May for what you know is a waste, a trivial and useless curiosity.

I want to see more. I want others to see there is support. I want a resurgence of "Basher Pride" in May. Be proud. You know who you are. Stand up. Be counted. Tell George Lucas where to go.

I declare this film as the first official Eulogy, and Post Script to the Star Wars Final Hour. And the most prominant Basher propaganda film.

I say reparations are in order, but before we storm the gates of Skywalker Ranch, we must band together in solidarity to measure our strengths...

Holy shit Hofmarn, this Infracomradine communizing mind ray you sent me really works, but I think its up way too high...you did that on purpose didn't you?

I think there is a lot of truth to what hannibal was saying.

With the destruction of my childhood fav...i've been plagued with the question of what's left for bashers me in the star wars universe.

Pretty much nothing exept for KOTOR.

There is nothing left to do except pay my final $10 on the ticket and call it quits.

I think guys like these parodist are actually resusitating star wars as a laughingstock in the fun way. Bashing in forums like this one is just depressing, but A Lost Hope just makes it fun.

Sooner or later George Lucas fans will entrust these guys to make a real prequel trilogy.

I was able to Download the quick time video. Maybe there could be a list for 84 reasons the parody trailer is Right ON!

Our boss needs his rest, unless he's up for it. Chef, I think you ought to write an article for some NY paper about Episode 3. Given your influence I'd think there would be the possibility of a build-up for the event.

JR Taylor writes in NY. He's from Birmingham, and used to have a local newspaper with reviews of upcoming televised movies (worth watching) and bands, galleries, that stuff. It was really good. He had a great style and would appreciate your lists. Tell him I'm a friend of Nolen's. smile.gif

but anyway, maybe the quicktime could be converted to some other movie format. Is there a format I could try to reformat, and host?

MEEEssa? I'd pay to see it.
