Hi,

What program did Yahtzee use to create the music in 5/7 Days, could you kindly direct me to a link if you know?

Thank You

Magic

Magicman… I noticed you’re making a lot of inquiries about game related topics, if you are indeed making a game, would you mind telling us what it is? And if so, I would be more then happy to help you with art related stuff… ‘cus I’ve got nothing better else to do and sniffing marker pens is losing it’s novelty for me.

Blasphemy, sniffing markers never looses it's fun, much like picking your nose or lieing for no other reason to lie. devil.gif

And Magicman, I too am very curious about your recent inqueries of useless tidbits about music.

Magicman, as a semi, part-time, un-proffesional, un-skilled game maker, I know how much better things are when you don't do them for the sake of doing them.
It sounds as if you want to make a game but don't know what to make a game about, so your asking for ideas.
It will be alot better if you have a great idea first, and then think about making a game out of it. If you just kind of make it up as you go, it always turns out really weak and shitty. Most of my early attempts... Actually, all of my early attempts and most of my later attempts at making games ended up like this, and are now in a folder wich I open when I'm all alone, with the curtains closed... It makes me feel dirty...

But a great program for making music for games is CakeWalk. It's just a Midi thing but It's not too hard to use, and it's got some great features. Then there's CakeWalk Pro, and CakeWalk MkII, and "CakeWalk - The final frontier", and all number of crazy variations that nobody needs. But if you know the notes on the piano, It's easy as pie.
Or cake.
Or, I guess any other sort of flour based pastry product.

Just look for Midi programs on the net and you can get really shitty ones that do the job.

And yeah, I think I read that Yahtzee pinches his music from RPG maker 2000. I always thought that program sucked a hairy monkeys nut though.

I liked RPG2003 a lot better.
But yes, most of the music from 5/7 Days are from RPG Maker 2000.

You all think im making a game eh?

One of you even suggests that i myself have no story ideas *doh*

This isnt how i wanted to come accross lol.

Anyhow i am in fact thinking about creating a game, its most likely that i wont be useing AGS. I will go for the easier/more simple program AGI.

I left everything vague because i don't know if my idea for a game will go anywhere it is not the first time i have promised myself i would make a game and didnt (i had a breif encouter with AGS and was baffled)

I have a basic storyline in my head, nothing is written down.
Problem is my artwork. (see attached image)
Also i have opened and experimented with AGI but i havent looked in depth at it or read any tutorials so i dont have the faintest idea if i will be able to use the program.

For now im certainly not going to start my project as i just found a game ive been looking for in my cd rack for 6 months.

If i start the creation process i will keep you all updated!

Hmm… I see… well magicman, before I continue with what I was going to say, I’d like to ask a few questions.

A)Are you happy with the end results of your artwork?
B)If not, would you like some assistance?
C)If so, would you object to me helping you?
D)Are you aware of the fact that I know where you live and will pay you a visit if claim my artwork to be yours… unless you are willing to fork up your future children…? (Just Kidding…Or WAS I?) shifty.gif

Damnit! That's why my game was never finished... The story line was funny for like 2 scenes and then it just got stupid...
