Well, as a 14 year old, I can say with some certainty that I wouldn't want my definition of manhood to go along with words like "buff" and "hard" and "coconut oil". I think being a man should be more about being able to rise above it, to take things in stride. But thats just me.
By the way, yeah the new youngest generation is gonna be scary. I mean, some of us look to George Bush for moral guidance.

jus' a short opinion:

i feel that being a Man is living with honour and vigilance.
a Man should never give up on a good cause and always look out for the little guy.
and most of all a Man should be proud, of whatever he has.

So being a Man is in essence just trying to be a good person?

Why, of course, if by a Man we understand a human being. Maybe that was the whole point?

QUOTE (Madam Corvax @ Feb 2 2005, 07:49 PM)
Sime, you live in Australia. Your society is different, I think it is definitely less chauvinist than in my country. How much my country is backwards, I can give one example. During the parliamentary debate about equal status of men and women the members from right wing parties were rolling with laughter.

Wow, did I ever get Zinged. Good comeback.

Oh, and Wayne, where did you pick up that avatar? I seem to remember somebody else using it in Yahtzee's forums.

Yeah, I got it from the avatar database. I would have put the logo for the site I'm working on as my avatar, but... it doesn't exactly exist yet.

I have scars from open-hear surgery, but I claim they were from knife fights. Nobody believes me, but I find it fun.

He probably meant open-heart surgery. And I like scars, my knuckles are banged up from abuse. Although "world-record calibur horrible complexion" scars are not cool.

why on Earth (or your terrestrial body of choice) did you need open heart surgery?

I actually put up a pic of one of the scars awhile ago because I was bored, but it got complaints so I took it down.
